Mr. Fex

Post by Poice » Sat Apr 11, 2009 3:59 pm

Here is Mr.Fex. Took me about 2 hours to paint him. Just used Scorched Brown, Desert Yellow, and Blood Red. Based it with beach-sand and homemade flock.

Mr.Fex is hoping to place, or even an honorable mention.

You should really try to prime your mini's Black or White either way. With black, even if you don't get all the spots with paint, the dark recessions in the mini will look like shadows so it might appear purposeful. With white you can thin your paint quite a bit and then spread it on, that way it will get into the recesses and give you a natural highlight on the raised surfaces.

The model you have posted is a nice start, but you really need to cover the grey.

And that is why Kharn was cut from the original cast of Puttin' on the Ritz.

It looked better before I took the picture. And sadly, my local Games Workshop closed down so its hard to get the spray.
But i think i did a pretty good job considering i only used 1 brush and its only a 1/4 inch wide.
