Warboss Ardnutz leads an incorporated firm of freebooting Orks who have come together in the pursuit of profits and excessive violence. Originally a Bad Moon (his old clan allegiance is still visible in the colour of his armour, and of course his larger-than-normal teef) he has picked up a few ideas from the Blood Axes and through them, from the humiez. One of these is the corporate structure in which each mob is a business unit which makes its own special contribution to the business goals. Kustomer Komplaintz provides prompt resolution to those who feel the Warboss has not fulfilled a bargain - by smashing them in the head with a choppa. And you really really don't want to have to deal with Det Kollekshun, but since they're mounted on warbikes, it's terribly hard to get away...
Ardnutz was originally a Ghazgkull Thraka model, but I didn't like the pose or the head. The Power Klaw was rebuilt in an open position using plastic card and greenstuff so the cables meet up around the back. The head is a normal metal warboss head but with the front teef drilled out and replaced by something a bit more impressive. His armour also sports boost jets fitted in the shell of a beakie backpack; its former owner doesn't need it any more, on account of being dead.
Like any good thug, Ardnutz has his name written on his boots, so that his enemies (or former business partners) will know who is kicking them in the head.
Here's a couple of work-in-progress shots showing the Klaw and Ardnutz' original teef, before one got broken off as a downpayment on some nice new Killa Kanz.
Wow! This Warboss turned out really great! I love the yellow, the chipped paint and the glyphs, as well as the skin tone and the conversion... let's say I love every single aspect of this miniature! I guess I'll have to loot this idea and make my own Warboss like this one some day (as my third Warboss xD).
There has been times when I say that simplicity in paint schemes are an easy way to complete and army... but... this is beautiful...
It works, it's clean, it looks nice, and is well executed... not that the painting ability is simple, because it's not, it is more complex than most people will ever recognize... you have a great gift and an eye to see what works... keep going in this avenue, I am envious...
