What I've found is useful is to have a single marine (doesn't even have to be of the same army) to practice blending and freehanding on. Doesn't matter how thick the paint gets on the model since he's a test model!
But anyway, I agree with Khani, maybe try applying another coat of blue wash to make that blue nice and deep.

Looks awesome to me, just because you have a style not quite like Eavy Metals doesn't mean you arent freakin amazing! And that NMM is some of the best I've seen
