Bring back the Infernal Device (aka Power of the Machine Spirit). Also having better vehicle upgrades would be nice.

Because he's the power creep Magic deserves, but not the one it needs right now. Because he can tank it. Because he's not balanced. He's a board sweeping powerhouse. A win condition pull.
More weapon options would be nice. I would drop the price by 20 pts and make demonic possession an option that works like power of the machine spirit. I liked the 3rd Ed. chaos marks/upgrades too.

What was mentioned above, along with God specific variants (Khorne either gives the unit Fleet in the turn it exited or has something like the Frag Assault Launcher along with cool ramming abilities, you get the idea).

How would YOU make Chaos Landraiders better?
by turning it into a wrecked vehicle terrain piece.

Overpriced, poor weapon options, poor upgrade options which are also overpriced.
But yeah, more weapons. Surely Chaos has learned to slap on some wilder weapons than lascannons and heavy bolters onto their Land Raiders! Give us some twin-linked Autocannons and Plasma Cannons!

Honestly, if they just turned back the clock and gave us proper godhammer patterns, I would be happy. Obviously all Chaos vehicles could benefit greatly from the return of the Marks, but I see the introduction of new weapon loadouts getting out of hand far too quickly, and Chaos ending up with some ridiculous, unfluffy monstrosity of a Land Raider that tears through anything and everything, while being completely indestructible.
hell just copy the price tag and varients from the regular space marine codex and give em to us i mean come on weve been fighting eachother for 10 thousand years how hard is it to steal a couple of the damned things? can you imagine popping a full squad of zerkers out of a crusader or redeemer?

It is the same price as the baseline SM Lameraider, but without the weapon options or PotMS. Which means that when you're running it across the table you can't shoot anything if you move 12" (which you probably will). I am one of the few Chaos players who actually use it, but pretty much just as moving terrain and a box to keep my terminators or zerkers safe.
Isn't it cheaper and identical to the SM one without the machine spirit?
For 30 points less, you are getting a Land Raider with half the functionality of the Space Marine's Land Raider - you can move, you can shoot, but you can't do both, and with the amount of points you're paying for it, it's not really worth having for just carrying one unit or firing off two lousy lascannons.
If we get variants for land raiders, I hope they are not just copies of loyalist ones. I am dead set on idea of noise raider. Orchestra variant is it would be called
