When it comes to good all around units. Id say Chosen take a few flamers and meltas and a power fist. I wouldnt say that squad will last long but the flamers should take care of some small guys like hormogaunts. Meltas and power fist for the bigger monsters. Its going to be the heavy slot where your going to do the most damage. So if it comes to a choice between a throw away chosen units and some oblits i would choose the oblits. One tactic that comes to mind is to give the chosen an icon and deep strike one unit of oblits. I know its risky but it could work lol.
What units do you have. Might be easier to work something out if we knew what you had.

Well I wasn't looking to get a list given to me. I was just looking for suggestions as to what works well against the bugs. I've never won against them without my opponent forgetting something during play which doesn't really count imo.
I was just hoping for a little insight is all, I have a list I play against any army i play and i was just going to change a few things for fun. I don't expect to win but i will damn well try!
Well I dont run any one type of list for any army, I love to vary my forces. I know his has caused me to lose many times, but I always have fun regardless so whatever
My problem seems to be Tyranids! No matter the list, they chomp me everytime I play them!
So I was hoping someone might know of some solid tactics against them. I wasn't looking for a list, just some nice pointers really. So I will post what I have available to me, and I am willing to get any unit I dont have as I want to have at least one of every model I can field.
2 Deamon Princes (one is a bloodthirster, works well as a DP too ) 20 Berserkers 21 Plagues 15 Csm or Chosen 5 Terminators (usually used as a proxy for Obi's) 1 Land raider 3 Rhinos 1 Predator 2 Lords Abbadon (never use unless in 3K+) 1 Defiler 1 Obliterator (waiting for more!)
Try those Daemon princes with Mark of Nurgle, wings and Nurgles rot for once. The rot attack makes him a hordes killer against any type of Gaunts.
Just fly him up to 1,000001" of them and unleash those rotting powers of him. Maybe add something with Lash (this means you only have 1 Nurgle prince though)in the mix as well so you can re-order those gaunts in order to get maximum effects out of that "stinkbomb".
