Your tyranids' color scheme is prety cool, are you leaving the bone colored ones like that or are you giving it the grey/black one later? both look nice.

the camera makes it look like they're bone coloured but they're just the bare plastic at the mo... and yes i will be giving them the black/blue scheme within the next few weeks (i hope)...
i'll post more of the painted models in a short while, battery's recharging
oh and Thank You

Hey Sniperfex! Just a reminder to use your edit button instead of double posting. When a long time has passed (3 days or so) without a reply in between, then you can double post.
Also, you really need a better camera to ask for good feedback Do you have a macro/supermacro button on your camera? It's a little flower shaped icon. If you use that one and hold the camera still while you take the picture, your mini's should look great and sharp.

Most digital cameras have a limit of 10cm minimum focus.. so try to take the pics at least 10cm away from your minis, also switch the "Macro" setting to the highest amount available to your camera, and try setting still the camera on a surface.. a table or any other flat surface will do, tought if you have a tripode that's even better. Never hold the camera with your hands if you switch your camera to Macro mode, or the pictures will go off very blury.
Natural light helps a bunch too, but you can also use artificial light, just make sure your camera is set in the right light spectrum, if you are using a white/fluorescent light bulb make sure the setting is the apropiate to that kind of light, if is yellow/incandecent light swich acordingly and so on.

random brush strokes with your chosen colour scheme makes a good camo, but normally it only works on cloaks and small surfaces

Looks really nice, it kind of fits a city/ruins/desert camo-scheme, and like you say, some random drybrushing gets it done =) Cool stuff! After I paint all the stuff that I ordered, I think I'll get some Sniper Scouts too, they look like lots of fun on the paper at least, and they are cool looking minis as well! =)
