Eldar Jetbikes WIP

Post by Farseer Oz » Tue Aug 23, 2011 9:58 pm

Hey guys
Been reading this forum for awhile now and their are some really great painters that provide great feedback and suggestions.

So I thought that I would put up the jetbikes that I am working on at the moment, I've just done the bikes so far and still need to do the riders, flag poles and bases.

Keen on your suggestions and comments for improvement.

Also any tips on how to get rid of the yellowish background on my photo as I used white printing paper as the backdrop.

The bikes look great. Maybe brighten up the pics a little next time.

Also wanted to ask if you were using the standard Jetbike riders or would you be tossing the new Guardian torsos on them?

That's very nice!
Yea as Joe said you could/should try brightening up the pics. Alternatively you could take pics in a more illuminated spot.

I was going to use the original riders

I have the old style guardians (shudders) so the normal riders will fit into the army, the new torse guardians would look odd I think.

Do I brighten up the photo with the camera when taking the shot, or do I have to use a software program? Sorry not very good with this kind of stuff.

But yeah next time I take picks I'll take them during the day not at night time with a lamp.

I find natural lighting is really good for taking pictures, I also find untextured white surfaces to be the best.

Good looking jetbikes though

Picture of some of my Guardians. Sorry picture was taking same time as Jetbikes so its a bit dark. Will update better pics once its a nice sunny day and I'm not working.

As you can see the original jetbike guardian helmets will fit in.

thats nice, quality is already better.

yes you should turn lighting up with your camera, but natural sunlight is the best for the pics.

looking good.

Really fantastic work bro. Those jetbikes HL's are great!
For your pics, you don't need to be outside in the sun nowadays for sunlight. Head to a local hardware store and pick up some daylight bulbs. They glow white rather then yellow and will show the true colors of the minis. They're as cheap as any other bulb.
Afterwards you may want to bump up the midtones or white balance in your editing software.

Keep em coming dude, looks great so far.

The paint job looks really clean and neat, fitting of an eldar army. The highlights are coming out nicely as well!
