Here's some close ups of Mephiston Lord of Cheese.
A bit of a mess on the details.. I know.. but I'm happy with the way the Force Sword came out with the atempt of source lightning on the armour and stuff. :P

Here's a little work in progress of the Sanguinary Guard... I'm prety much done with the golds.. (I Might add some pin point purple washes here and there for an extra shade) But I'm done with the armor, I'm ready to paint details like weapons, red bits on the armor, gems, wings, cloth, bases, etc...

Image

I used some random deep gold paint.. then I applied a wash of devlan mud, after that I used a custom made purple/brown wash for stronger shades... then prety much was dry brush with lighter shades of gold from Tamiya.

Looks good - though I suspect the resolution on the photos means that they look better in person.

Saludos de Hermosillo!.

Seeing the first post, I'll be honest, I've also used the same cheap acrylic paints :p. I've learned the hard way the blending and washes are the answer, while I move to better paints (in my case, p3, Hermosillo has no stores that sell citadel or vallejo, and my credit card is rather thin in cash, so I buy p3 locally).

Your predator is so awesome! I am yet to paint a vehicle, any tips?

Well, to pain vehicles I would always recommend to use spray paint to base coat, using the base tone in your color scheme, after that going with heavy washes gives nice depth overall, and then work the main color on out leaving the deeper darker areas show through (thanks to the washes) kind of using a blending technique...

And for highlights I always try to do edge highlighting, in this case, I use blazing orange on the edges, at least just a thin line on the borders.
____________

Here's some progress on my 10 man death company, I used a black basecoat and then a couple of drybrush highlights with tones of grey (with a tinny bit of blue on it) After that I washed all models, first with a dark red tone, and then a heavy pure black wash after the first one was dry.
I started with some red details already, but that part is on a very initial stage, it's just the base colour. But for now the base shades on the power armour and the bases are done. (I might give the black power armour another black wash coat to make it a bit darker, but I'm not sure yet)

I don't see the end of it... but here's a bit of progress...

I washed the power armor again with a dark blue (almost black) to kill the dustyness and And started painting the red bits with blood red, also some metallic details, the two guys without a helmet and the helmet's eyes with an attempt of glow effect...

Image

I will paint the gems with a red-purple tone, other details like spikes and skulls golden, and the scrolls and cloth just kind of a bone color washed with some sepia and stuff... and I still need to highlight the red details with some blazing orange..
