Note 1: Some of you may recall my Raising the Catachan CCCXIV post. The Regiment raising (as the above should comfortably show) is not being canned, I still intend to do it, but I'll be working on the full battlegroup so I don't get drained just making Catachan models.

Note 2: This first "page" is more fluff than anything else. This weekend, I'll be building/converting and (hopefully posting) my first squad of Kanak Skull Taker s Rough Riders. Also, will be developing further fluff and posting in the Imperial Guard forum.

While I agree that the insertion of a fabricated (and misspelled) German word by a subsequent poster is kinda random, that does not detract from the awesomeness of form that this WIP takes. I love the fluff you've woven in. And the 'Thought for the Day' is great! Can't wait to see more!

OT: For what it's worth, the German word for 'tank' is simply (der) Panzer, which, even in its most elaborate form, (der) Panzerkraftwagen, comes nowhere near the absurd complexity and impracticality of (das) Schützengrabenvernichtungsautomobil. The term is a myth more than anything else and exists to poke fun at the perceived silliness of German compound words as juxtaposed to a monosyllabic English equivalent. But I ramble!

You didn't mean that I was messing around with the german language, did you? Cause the only German I used was Abendrot, which I did intentionally because the world is actually Mars-like (Iron Oxide soil covering much of the planet, though this is soil is mixed with other stuff which makes it highly fertile, unlike Mars), which results in the evening sky having a red-ish hint (Hence the name Abendrot). As for my sig, I felt it necessary and proper to give Helmuth Bernhard full honors in citing his name. It bugs me when people talk about "Manfried von Richtofen", cause I'm convinced a lot of people think that's his full name.

Ich und meine liebste sind Deutsch. Mein Vater kommt aus Bamberg, aber ich komme aus den USA. Meine liebste wohnt im Wolfenbuettel.

I was referring to Cazaius' "Schutzengrabenvernichtungsautomobile" Sorry that I went overboard, guess that's because I've been in Japan the last 3,5 months and they mutilate German whenever they feel like it. But well, guess they do that to every language except Japanese, sorry again. *bows head in shame and crawls out of the thread*
