Okay so apparently I don't know how to change the name on my own post... and I don't want to have to keep swapping pages and stuff.... So I will just keep everything here I think.
This is the story so far:
I picked up some used Space Marines, I don't like playing Marines personally, but they are a blast to paint. I was deciding on what chapter to paint... and although I was pretty much already set, I put it to a vote. Luckily Blood Ravens won... which is probably what I was going to do anyway... see, I create the illusion of a Democracy... kind of like the United States.
Oh I can see some angry posts coming from that haha.
Anyway, along with the used stuff, I kind of found my way into the possession of about 2 squads from Battle for Maccragge or whatever. So it is a decent sized force. I will be posting updates here on the first page probably, the other topic I will either lock or delete.

Okay, so it has been a while since I started this, and well I pretty much forgot about it.
I decided to go with Blood Ravens, and I don't know exactly what I have at the moment.
I will probably list it all later.
I finally painted 1 of the guys up... I like the way he turned out and I think an whole army done the same way will look really nice.

For the base I glued some textured plasticard that I picked up from the local Hobby shop. Then I added a little bit of coarse rocks and primed them... I actually made those bases probably about a year ago... I just never had anything I wanted to use them on. I even had them painted already.
And I'm glad you liked my comment but I never said it was a joke. hahaha

Thanks, I personally think it looks better in person.
Oh well... now I have to start painting more of them. I think I have about 30 Marines, 20 scouts... I think like 5 Veterans, a Chaplain with Jump Pack, and a Librarian in Termie Armour.
I might have a Razorback and Dreadnought too.

Well they are Blood Ravens, so I am planning on using their symbol... but I don't want to ruin the model with freehand... I will probably try molding one with Greenstuff and then casting a couple to put on them...
I was considering going with squad markings... although I don't think the Blood Ravens had them in the game. We will see how the Raven goes... if its tough I will stick with that and not try to venture into too much else.

Thanks, I plan on making a table... well... painting some GW terrain and putting it on a table. Throwing on the crashed lander, the ruining building, and some trees. The picture has one of my buildings in it already... I have like 8 trees... maybe more. Then I have a couple Landers.
For the rest of the Army I will probably be making similar bases. Well the scouts will be in the grass and woods I think, and the Jump Pack guys I may make them like the new Veterans jumping off rubble.
Now, to your actual question. The Raven Symbol on their shoulders, I will be trying to make out of Greenstuff, and somehow casting it. That way I can mass produce them... I mean I will have to make over 60 of them if I use them on all the Marines... if I used them on the scouts it will be another 30-40. I just don't want to ruin my models trying to free hand it.
