This is a wip shot of my thousand sons sorcerer for my custom Chaos marine army, sorry for the bad photo quality but I do not own a decent camera. Also, let me know what you think of the power sword, it's the best one I have ever done, it's only my second one, the other I did when i collected a different army and was just starting out in 40K, comments and criticism welcome.
Also it's is not neat because it is only a basecoat done, apart from the sword which is done completely.

the power sword looks nice, but if your wanting better photos, purcahse a posable lamp or something, for that little bit of extra light, and from what i can see of the sword, looking good,

why is that flying disk getting bigger? and then it hit me cheesey jokes FTW
I've got no money and any I do get goes on minis and supplies and events like my local GW's halloween day on Saturday, I might ask for a ligh box for christmas so that my camera will get better quality shots. Also I was using a posable lamp.

It's the first model in my second army and the power sword is my second but the first one did not use this effect. I can put up a tutorial if you want as I have a terminator sorcerer that heeds his axe done or possibly I could do a spare combat knife.
Here is a better pic taken in daylight:
I'll try to do some more work on it on wednesday and monday, possibly sunday but I have so much homework and it's half term so I might go out.
Example shown uses purple, other colours may be used however make sure they are light.
The paints you will need are:
step 1
First prime black
step 2
Then basecoat with a 2:1 mix of chaos black to warlock purple
step 3
Wash with leviathan purple
Step 4
Drybrush with warlock purple
step 5
Wash with leviathan purple
step 6
Light drybrush with warlock purple
step 7
Paint the top of the blade with warlock purple and drag it down with your finger, this may need to be repeated, I did it 3 times, not much paint was used
Here is a look at the final product:
Enjoy, comments and criticism welcome.

I have done no hobby since I did the tutorial and it looks like there will not be another update for a long time as school is starting back this week, I will keep you posted on when I do some hobby.

could I do a brown and brass colour scheme and say that they broke away from the thousand sons pre-heresy and turned their armour brown instead of red? I realy like this scheme but am not sure if it fits Tzeentch's fluff.
Thanks in advance, Lima0100
