sushifan entry #4- Dark Angel mountain bunker-heavy pics

Post by Sushifan » Sun Sep 21, 2008 4:12 pm

Hey all! Here is my 4th(last?) entry into the MiniWarGaming Terrain contest. I do hope you all like this piece, cuz I truely had a blast making it! I am also including som pics with a few of my Space Marines for scale. My next project will definately be painting my figures! As I've accumulated a fairly nice sized army, (50 various troops, 2 dreadnaughts, & 2 razorbacks), my work is cut out for me. Anyhoo...enjoy and any/all comments are always appriciated as I am still learning and appriciate any input. :D :D :D

Very nicely done... I love the rusted look on the railings... its great, completely disguises the materials used. There is a lot of character in it and you didn't make it symmetrical which is what I find a lot of people do... I love it.

You shoud've made it hollow so you could place mini's in it. Other than that nice work two thumbs up.

See, this is what most people would call threadnomancy or whatever. But asking a legitimate question is fine by me. And since I'm not even sure if Sushifan is on this forum anymore, I will give you what I think he did:

Railings and supports were made out of popsicle sticks all cut and angles and such. Even the I-beams, which are quite nice. The wire mesh could just be a wire mesh or a plastic mesh that you would find covering oranges and the like. It's incredible well done, and the rust effects in the painting add to it.

I hope that helps.
