International Calls

Post by Bujiga » Fri Nov 30, 2012 1:14 am

This may not go here, if so a mod can just delete or lock the thread.

I have been watching Dave's Shrine of Chaos since the start and have been wanting to call up, but I don't know how international calls from Australia to Canada work. Can somebody please help me?

you need to dial your counties exit code + the international number. this website will help you with all your internation calling needs. It might look a little confusing at first, NANP stands for a north american country. also at the bottom of the page there is a link containing every counties exit code and long distance area codes. hope this helps.

This is a bit confusing.

Country - Australia
Country Code - 61
NANP Area Code -
Exit Code - 011
Long Distance (Trunk) Code - 0

So I would be Placing a call from a non-NANP destination to the U.S. (or any other NANP destination)??

So it should be:
011 + 1 + 08 + 1 (888) 561 6860

I think that's right. Is the area code mine or where im trying to call too? Also, what do all the pluses mean? Do I call them all seperately or all just in the one big number?

Thank you so much for your time and assistance.

using the number you have above as i am not sure of miniwargamings phone number it should be
"0 011 1 888 561 6860" Try that. else you could always talk to a operator and just have them patch you through. Don't worry about the +'s unless you are dialing on a cell and I believe you only need it in front of the country code. I actually found another interesting site through a google search that has a calculator for phone calls. seems accurate at first glance.
