if i open the book and it says mat ward im starting warmachine. simple as that.
hmm rule 1 GREY KNIGHTS WIN
rule 2 turn 2 nothing is left alive
If you look Matt Ward co-wrote 5th edition and 5th is a decent set of rules. Usually the rule book is written by multiple writers and I think 5th had at least five people who worked together.

I was starting to panic a little thinking how I over reacted I hope they improve on 5th rather than a total re write as personally I feel 5th rules are actually ok, some flaws such as wound allocation, fearless and a few others. If these are improved upon then 6th will be a much better game.
However whilst I agree the cover save thing needs to be sorted but done carefully as not to change them so they are completely nerfed, just because as an ork player I like having to throw saves against weapons fire

4th edition also had space marines on
Where?
While BewareOfTom is somewhat true with the fact that the 5th edition had space marines on the cover, we all should realize that this is only in the background, while the "mattering" picture is a hammer too.
I would be okay with the dark angels as cover. I really like the picture.

well I got the wrong rule book then - but one of the rule books has the ultramarines fighting the tyranids for maccarage as its front cover
No, michael0112 is correct. Though he's talking about the pocket size rulebook that came with Battle for Macragge (on the left in picture), which had a different cover then that of the full size rulebook (shown above in SleepyPillow's post).

Didn't thought about this one, since so far the discussion was about 6th Edition Rulebook Cover vs DA Codex Cover and I doubt they'd make the small version for the box as a hard back book, which the book in the picture looks like.
But all in all we can only rumor around and wait the next 5 days, like a lil' child would wait for Christmas.
