Alright lads and ladies, it has been quite awhile since I have been on the forums let alone posted on them. Soooo bear with me a little. I recently have got back into war gaming now that works allows a bit of time for me. I'm not sure how it is for all of you, but going against the same armies and/or builds each weekend kind of gets old after a bit. So I figured that with all of the experienced gamers on here, that I might get some advice. I want to get on the tournament scene, not necessarily the GW circuit but something more than the small local hobby shop. How do you guys find'em?

well usually I just go to my FLGS (friendly local gaming store) and ask the owner, or go on the forums of a group local to me and sign up online when they on available. Worse comes to worse, I try to run a small one if no one else starts one up

Well basically if I don't want to play at the loacl store ... which I normally just play there. The store I go to has a website with a calendar showing all the tournaments and events in the state and surrounding states. Also I know if I wanted to go to a Game day event or something by GW [url] http://www.games-workshop.com/gws/conte ... d=13800009[/url] - this web page has the GW stuff. Although I know I wont go to them but you might be able to.

You have to get on the net or word of mouth. Where I live I have 4 hobby stores that tun tournaments. They try to spread them out so they get different people to show. Depending on where you live you could go to another state for a tournament. Those people are hard core, the advantage is they get better with their army and meet new people.
