I think it makes sense to be able to charge out of vehicles. Just maybe add a movement penalty while getting out and the unit counts a disordered charge unless the vehicle is an assault vehicle/assault ramp.
All generalizations are false.

It seems more silly to me that Terminator Armor would get the same level of protection from a lasgun (flashlight) as a miniature explosive/penetrating warhead from a bolter. The change to AP rules just means that 2+ armor isn't as over powered to armies that lack wide access to AP2.
Of course, if Terminators kept their 2+ save with save modifiers in place, then yes, they'd actually be much weaker against small-arms fire. Assuming a bolter has -1 modifier, it would now kill twice as many Terminators.

Unless they bring back old Terminator armour saves, which really exemplified the protective capabilities of the armour, but also meant that a -1 modifier wouldn't hurt them too terribly. They had a 3+ save on 2d6. You'd need a pretty hefty save modifier to reliably penetrate Terminator armour, and all but the most powerful weapons would likely still give a Terminator a save.

The only problem with it would be that it'd be a bog trying to do multiple saves.

However, a lot of this talk is speculation based on "if this rule came into play using all other rules as they currently exist". That's why I don't bother with "zOMG, this is going to be so much more powerful!" or "This unit is going to be useless!" talk. It's pointless to speculate that wildly.

I hear they're more effective in 30k due to AP2 being a little more difficult to come by (and, of course, due to the lack of unit-deleting firepower that 40k has begun to have).

Another new rumor

https://www.warhammer-community.com/201 ... 12th-2017/

I think its a multilegged nurgle beast of some kind. Don't know the lore of nurgle so can't specify what kind of beast it could be.

That is definitely a bunch of fat legs with with thick toe-nails and the super obvious pits and pores of Nurgle. Well if Tzeentch got a release with the disciples, and Khorne just got a new battletome, it just might be Nurgle's time

Maybe it's a new model for the Beasts of Nurgle daemon I think it's called. I think that Whitewing said in another thread that the model was super old.

Agreed. Most likely the case. That model's pretty old and in my opinion, ugly. Not in a Nurgle way either. Either way, GW's killing it!

Over all the excitment about the new edition of 40k I nearly missed the current "rumour"-picture:

Image

Sooo... are lions a thing in Age of Sigmar? Don't really know about that. If not, could it be part of a "Lion El'Jonson" Mini? With Cypher appearing and carrying such a large sword around, it might at least be possible. Any other guesses?

Marines: 1 Rhino, 6 Primaris Intercessor, 1 Captain in gravis armour, 1 Scribbus Wretch
Shadespire: 4 Sepulchral Guard

Doesn't Sanguinius wear a lion on his shoulder? Although he's dead so maybe it isn't him.

Side note - that lion has definitely been painted and then put through a black and white filter.

Lions ARE a thing in age of sigmar now that I think about it. A high elf subfaction called the white lions. Could be a character for them.

What's under the lion head looks like the fur of a cape, so I suspect that it's a shoulder pad. It could be a primarch or some AoS hero miniature. High Elves have a lion thematic on multiple minitures, especially their chariot and the White Lions, but this could also be a sigmarine character or even an imperial one. Sanguinus is most definitively dead, so if it's one of the primarchs, this is probably Lion El'Johnson. Rogal Dorn doesn't have lions on him right?
