Apoc Question

Post by Concreteus » Sun Dec 08, 2013 6:59 am

This is probably a very simple question but I can't find the answer currently so I thought I'd ask the community.

Now in apoc you are free to field whatever units from whatever army you like and this I understand well however what I'm trying to find is are these allies all considered battle brothers or do they simply follow the allies chart but ignore the "they can't play together" part?

If anyone has an answer, with a page reference that would be great.

Thanks in advance.

Considering that Apocalypse makes no reference to the allies matrix other than what you can take in your force, I would say it is as is from the main rule book.

This is what I believe as well.

I had a game the other week where a daemon player was using a Farseer to give them fortune and also using the grimore thus resulting in a 2++ re-rollable save. Normally this would never happen as they arn't the best of friends for obvious reasons but I wasn't too sure about if they became battle brothers in apoc or not.

Thank you for your response.

Consider all the allies kinda as convience? It's really up to the players to decide.

there is an actual rule about this in the apocalyse book (page 20)
armies that are "come the apocalypse" are treated as desperate allies, and therefore a farseer cannot buff a daemon
futhermore it says armies used by different player in the same team from the same codex are battle brthers. for the other armies i would use the standard ally matrix

soory to revive this topic, but i wanted to set it right :)
