Ah yeah that makes sense

plus, if it's something like a Knight or mechanicum thing, imo, a lot of times they would take care of their equipment, making scratches less likely.

Anyway, still cool :D

Thanks Guildenstern!

I completed my painting pledge and finished an arm of my Furioso Dreadnought.

Furthermore I bought the skeleton team for Shadespire. I already assembled them, primed them white and washed the skeletons in sepia. I already find the effect pretty nice!

I also joined the same painting competition as Rouven. Our local Games Workshop started this competition, where you pay 25€ and get a random character from the 40k or AoS range and paint it up with a time limit of one month. I'm really looking forward to the outcome lf the around 30 participants! I got the Death Guard Scribble Wretch assigned. I hope I'll finish in time! I already pinned and primed the mini.

No, it's better without. OSL on an empty socket is really hard to make look right. I like the way you did the shield.

The mini looks great and I agree - I wouldn't add any OSL (possibly on the leader of the warband).

What did you do to achieve the rust effects? I mean what colours did you use on the shield?

I used pure mournfang brown in the dents on the shield and applied ,,ak interaktive rust streaks" for the... well... rust streaks. The trimming and the center were painted in warplock bronze and washed in brown. Then I applied thinned down nihilakh oxide for the verdigris and added streaks of hashut copper here and there for some bright highlights.

My Scribbus Wretch is coming along nicely. I finished it's base already, except I will still add a bit of grass on it after I fixed the mini on it.

Thanks Munin!

I progressed on the Scribbus Wretch! I hope I'll finish at least the main body part this week and perhaps progress a bit on the left arm.

More progress! Added rust streaks to the Scribbus Wretch! I actually wanted to use an enamel paint but decides against it and simply used watered down brown for more exact brush control! Still considering using a black enamel paint for the recesses, but are leaning more towards pinwashing with good old nuln oil.

Unfortunately I can't take decent pictures anymore, somehow. They always turn out much too bright or dark... -.- Perhaps I will have to make a lightbox.

Poor lighting has always been the bane of my existence. Whenever possible these days, I take pictures outside.

My Sepulchral Guard for Shadespire is coming along nicely! They are so easy and crazy fast to paint, it's been lots of fun so far! This concludes all of the 3 "Petitioners". What's left is in the warband is "The Champion", "The Prince of Dust" and "The Sepulchral Warden", as I already finished "The Harvester".
