Oh god! That hurts!

No doubt it will look amazing when done, but right now it looks like one of those toddler toys XD

It's like when I paint my Thousand Sons (the ones that don't use the metalic red). When I do the red basecoat over EVERYTHING, it looks just like something that came out of a kids board game. Then, through the magic of liquid skill (washes), it starts to look better.
Armies:
40k: Knights Cynosure Iron Hands successor chapter, House Terryn Questor Imperialis, Thousand Sons/Tzeentch Daemons
30k: Thousand Sons
Age of Sigmar: Sylvaneth, Disciples of Tzeentch

giggles

seriously tempted to paint "TONKA" on it tbh

But yeah, it looks pretty bright atm lol I haven't done any washes and it'll still be pretty heavily weathered. So it'll be colourful, but dirty. Hopefully. We'll see.

I noticed a lot of my ork stuff really starts out super bright then goes pretty drab after weathering.

I've a bit more work to show but kinda waiting for 2018 thread. Mostly terrain anyway, but a few minis.

I don't really do new years resolutions per se, but I did decide that 2018 is the year I'm going to finish my Ork army (main goal), I'm going to do more RPG figures (for our games), complete some boardgame minis and at least get a start on my next army.

Speaking of next armies... So, I'm going to go a bit back to my roots with this one. It's an idea several others have done of course. But also it gives me some conversion room as well as some expansion room, while remaining 100% GW legal (none of that 'other' brand bitz that GW won't allow for Armies on Parade for example).

I am making a Ratticus Mechanicus Army. Likely to be have some Iron Hands in 'em as well. I really hope GW comes out with Dark Mechanicus rules, as I just find that backstory really really cool. And I love the Mechanicus armies. Anyway, the idea is going to be obviously using a lot of Skaven parts. Of which i have a ton. It might be subtle in places, just like, a tail. Or it might go whole hog as for instance I'd like to probably reimagine these guys: https://www.games-workshop.com/en-US/Ad ... ro-Priests From Grey Seers maybe.

Anyway we'll see how it goes and grows. I have quite a few boxes of Skitarii/Mechanicus stuff, at least enough to start a small force I think.

Still finishing up my Orkz - I have about the following left to do:

30 Grots
20ish Nobz
12 Lootas (IP)
Battlewagon (building)
4? Mek Gunz (not yet purchased)
Flash Gitz (not yet purchased)
Grot Tanks (just because)

At once it seems like a lot, and yet not so much. Trying to get them done for a full army complete (tm) moment this year, early.

Also may have started a new army...

30k Mechanicum (I can't spell the name used) - But I know next to nothing about the Mechanicum in 30k so I'm going to get the book from FW and read up before I start buying stuffs. Even though I'd like all the purdies. Because daaaaaaaaaaaang those models look lovely. We'll see. I suspect this'll be a longer term project than even my Orkz were.
