Cerberusrex25's Weekly paint 2016 AKA how I will finish my army.

Post by Cerberusrex25 » Tue May 31, 2016 4:05 pm

So, new to the forums and I'm already loving the spirit around here. couple members suggested I started one of these and a WIP thread so I will happily oblige. I love the idead of challenging yourself to complete a goal, and doing this challenge feels to me like the ideal way tofinish my Black legion in a timely fashion. So without further ado here is what I'm painting this week: Draznicht, Chosen champion.

Thanks Guilderstern, I agree eyes are the worst, I thank this awesome Vallejo detail brush from my local hobby shop, that and a lot of patience.

BTW came back from the gym and couldn't resist working on it some more, here is the cape almost done.

So, got a bit sick because my niece is sick( I babysit and babies are germ magnets, who knew?) and no painting got done. It did not deter me from doing something else, I started my Cultists. Do you guys think I have enough cannon fodder?

HAHAHA,good one Dez. Yeah it looks overwhelming but this challenge will get me through it. So I felt like I was being lazy and decided to soldier on and make myself paint something tonight. So tonight's work is just painting the daemonic effigies on the armor.

yes kids are little germ containers lol I work with 2 and 3 yr olds - hand sanitizer!

good point is, after a while, you'll really be absolutely immune to everything!

And your stuff is looking really nice, love that demon knee pad

Yeah, I hear you Guildenstern, at least I'm building up my immune system. Speaking of being sick, today was a bit bad yet I still pushed through and did the loin cloth, hopefully tomorrrow I get to lay down the Balthazar Gold base.

It's looking good! I never remarked it, but the daemon head on his boot looks almost like a orkish face!

Aaaaaaaand I'm done, as done as I'm gonna get this week. Added a Gehenna's gold layer to that Balthazar base and I can't be happier with those results. All that is left is shading some areas, finishing small areas and details and of course his weapons and backpack. Overall 90% done and I really love that gold so much I might even repaint my Kranon.
