2016 Weekly Paint

Post by TigerDave » Tue May 10, 2016 12:23 am

Well.

2015 ended on a rough note that carried into 2016.

I will cap out the rest of the year with a massive workload; way more than I can handle. First up will be me returning to WH40K in a pretty big way, with a Guardians of the Covenant (Dark Angels successor chapter) force, starting with a Getting Started box. I will be basing in Leadbelcher and Khorne Red with a wash of Nuln Oil for a really dark, 'Unforgiven' look. I've only just started working, so the only highlights I have done are on the Plas Cannon, and the Dread proper hasn't been washed yet. I still have some cleanup and colors to do, primarily on the back.

They really look great. I'm loving the darker color scheme.

Cool chapter, I've always been tempted to start and paint them. Then I look at my 'to do' list, and decide firmly against it :)

I loved the scheme, but on top of it, the colors are brilliant. Red, silver, black? Adeptus Mechanicus allies. Black, red, silver? Sororitas allies. It's an easy way to have a unifying color triad amongst the force.

So, 2x land raiders, 3x predators, razorback, and rhino, with reinforced armor bits, an Imperial Knight, another Tac squad, an assault squad, a command squad, a box of DW Knights and a box of assault terminators are in the queue as well.

Good looking models, nice color and your paint job is smooth. Nice!
