Sorry just read your text when previously I just looked at the pictures... I am lazy like that.

Games Workshop Blood for the Blood God paint is very good and easy to use for blood effects.

Another good way to create blood is to use Vallejo's water effect and add a crimson and black wash that way you can create light and darker types of blood.

oh I'm liking this guy, lots of nice reds!

are you concerned about using too much fresh blood you mean? or it not all being fresh if you use blood for the blood god? Cuz I can assure you, if you want fresh blood and you use blood for the blood god, it'll be like arterially fresh on the model lol

Ahh kk gotcha, yeah it'll be very glossy

interestingly this same sorta topic (bloodstains) came up on reaper's forums as well recently, someone suggested mixing tamiya clear red with some black or brown for old bloodstains

(we talk about the weirdest stuff on these forums don't we? lol)
