Ynnari rules

If it ain't human, and it ain't from the warp, then it must be Xenos.

Ynnari rules

Post by Deathwatch205 » Wed Jul 19, 2017 3:28 am

Hi there,

I was wondering when you place units in a ynarri detachment can they ride in different transports. E.g Can a unit of 5 wraith guard start in a Dark Eldar raider for the start of the game?

Unfortunately, no. Transports list which specific models they can transport on their datasheet. The only thing that modifies this is the "Ynnead's Will" special rule, which only Y'vraine and the Visarch have. They may ride in any aeldari transport.

There is no more overlapping of armies and rules anymore, no matter how you may wish to obtain it (or think you deserve it). Dark Eldar transports are for Dark Eldar only.

While a harsh counter to 7th's method of doing things, I feel it is appropriate to stopping any potential unforeseen allies abuse that 7th was rife with.
Armies:
40k: Knights Cynosure Iron Hands successor chapter, House Terryn Questor Imperialis, Thousand Sons/Tzeentch Daemons
30k: Thousand Sons
Age of Sigmar: Sylvaneth, Disciples of Tzeentch

Agreed. The game as a whole is better with these restrictions on.

7th edition Ynnari also couldn't start the game in each other's transports. They could embark later on during the game, but they were still restricted from starting the game embarked. This was clarified through the Fracture of Biel Tan FAQ. I agree with the others, it's a good thing we don't have Raiders running around firing off D-scythes. That would be way too strong.
