Latest Daemons FAQ is up

Please find the link below for the latest FAQ for Daemons, and it looks like Khorne has gotten some love. Both the "Blood Thrones of Khorne" and "Skull Cannons of Khorne" get the special rule "Bloodletter Crew".

This grants 2 extra attacks in close combat @ Strength 4, AP3, Weapon Skill 5 & Initiative 4. These attacks also gain +1 Strength on the charge.

So whats everyones thoughts on these? I myself haven't looked into them yet despite building a Khorne/Tzeentch army.

I like it! It solves an important issue with the Skull Cannon, the fact that it can be easily tied up in close combat. Prior to the FAQ, any unit, no matter how weak, could assault the Cannon, effectively removing it from the game, even if they weren't strong enough to destroy it. Now it can hit back! This is also a small upgrade for Blood Thrones, granting a little more damage in melee when your Herald charges in.

Note that these attacks (near as I can tell) could potentially benefit from Hatred granted by the Herald (not for being in a unit with the Herald, as it technically isn't, but for being a Khorne model within range) but not Rage, as the rule states very clearly that the model makes 2 attacks, not that the model has 2 attacks on it's profile. So no extra attack when charging, either.

Overall, a straight up upgrade, glad to see it.

So apart from the skull cannon change what other changes are there?

None. We don't really have anything that needs changing. Some people might argue that Tzeentch getting +3 Ld when casting powers is a largely useless leftover from the old Psychic mechanics, but it does still grant a benefit and we can still cast powers as well or better than any other army.

The latest Chaos Daemons FAQ is up once more.

The changes are focussed on Kairos Fateweaver (Someone I have coincidentally just finished painting);
Page 42 - The Two Heads of Fate
Amend the third sentence to read as follows:
'In addition, the right head also randomly generates one power each from the Pyromancy, Divination and Daemonology (Malefic) disciplines;
the Left head also randomly generates one power each from the Telephathy, Biomancy and Daemonology (Malefic) disciplines.'

Basically, excellent news, t Kairos has even more powers to choose from.
