Waaaaaa no basing?

Drybrushing looks good! You should give it another, lighter pass with a lighter color (white or grey).

Ok, so they are standing on asphalt then? :D (see Ronin's signature)

Your definition of "standing" must be pretty loose  Image

Painting another grey hunter at the moment. Did the basecoats of the grey and silver. Working on the gold bits.

My mind is drawn to a blank though of what i want to do with the shadowseers. Armor colors / leg colors?

Almost done with a grey hunter. Pics hopefully later today.

And i'm staring to work on my dreadnought for the challenge with raider. Most of the basecoats are done. I just have to get started on all of the detail and the blizzard shield and axe.

Finished all the silver metal on my venerable dread. No pictures until the pic submit thread though.

And i finished the bolt gun on my grey hunter and did some shading. The only things i need to do now are the shoulder pads, eyes, and some cleanup / touch ups because of my shaky shaky hands.

So.. I got distracted from my SW venerable dreadnought by a cairn wraith. Like seriously. I saw the model and instantly loved it. So... Now that gritty peasant setting is dead. Killed by games workshop. And now we have silly golden ripoff demi gods in powe- I mean golden armor. with hammers and shields. (Real original) I decided to paint something silly. BEHOLD THE SKELETON MURDERER!

You guys thought the grey hunter didn't exist huh? Well bam! An unfinished model!
Image
Oh and i went over the lictor with a grey dry brush as Dez suggested.

Please excuse the poor lighting. Better pictures tomorrow!

Also quick hobby update:
I just ordered a rhino and some more grey hunters. So yeah. I've only painted 2 grey hunters so far. 1 doesn't have his eyes painted. And 5 of them aren't primed. So yay! MORE grey hunters that probably won't be done until 2016.

My first space marine vehicle should be interesting. The first vehicle i ever built was a monolith. So yeah.. Anything should be easier then that.

And for my secret project? Well. It's primed. However i did a poor job magnetizing it. My GW store owner is pretty awesome, And will help me sort that out on Thursday though.

Damn that Lictor looks nice! Could I ask what grey it was you used to drybrush?

Gah. Been getting ortho work all month, Haven't had much time to paint. However! I did get the wrack done for the challenge with Xaz.

I can't decide if i like the pictures taken through my lamp / magnifying thing:
Image
Or the pictures just taken normally:
Image

I probably like the normal pictures. Although i did see some plastic stuff lying around earlier. I should probably make a lighting box for better picture quality.

Also protip: Don't paint at 2:AM after watching a psychological horror movie. It's a bad idea.
