RPG's #theweeklypaint 2015 (pic heavy)

The goal of #theweeklypaint is simple - to develop our skills and paint our armies by making an effort to paint something every week. Anyone is welcome to fire up a thread and join in!

RPG's #theweeklypaint 2015 (pic heavy)

Post by rollplayinggamer » Sat May 02, 2015 8:14 am

I have been delaying making this for months now. I originally said when i got my wracks i'd start a thread. Got 2 boxes of wracks thread still delayed.

Well I finally (at 7:00am without any sleep ) I decided to paint some necrons because i won't be able to paint at all during the day tomorrow. So i painted 4 necron warriors with a new scheme i've been working on. Pending second layer of dawnstone rim around the base.
All of them with some background projects

Close up of my favorite new warrior

quick edit:
What i'm planning on painting is:
My unpainted tyranids
My unpainted necrons
Dark eldar (covens)
Space wolves

Technically? This is a weekend for me.. But...

Welcome to the Weekly paint! It's more of a journal/therapy group than a task force so relax :)

Nice work on the Necrons...I'm wondering how it would look leaving out the green, and painting the forearms in that blue?

I wondered about that myself. But the green works better with my overall paint scheme. So far all my vehicles have been done in that green. So i figure it'll come together better on the tabletop.

(and i know it's painting on a weekly basis. I was just having a bit of fun )

Welcome to the Weekly Paint! Necrons are pretty well represented here, maybe not quite as much as those bloody Skaven though ;)

But anyways. Painting up 5 grey hunters today. Haven't really painted space wolves color scheme before. (besides a single base coat on a venerable dread) So can't wait to get started.

Woot woot. First grey hunter! Going with the ragnar blackmane great company because anyone who throws the chapters most prized relic into a demon prince primearch is awesome.

It looks great! I particularly love the base. Those glowing ice crystals are awesome!

Thanks. It's a variation of the 'ice world' base in the old GW article basing your miniatures.

Working on the tervigon for the heavy hitters death match thing.

Basing is going to be interesting. As it has a dead terminator on it already, Probably going to paint it with a blood angel color scheme. The tervigon itself though is going to be my purple nids, Rakarth flesh spawning sac with carroburg crimson wash? Hmm..

Thanks. I didn't really like the dirty look agrax earth shade gave him. Obviously his shoulder pads need a little bit of work.

More on the tervigon news. I did the first base coat on the tervigon's spawning sac. Probably going to need a couple more coats to get a solid color. I'll have pictures up maybe late tonight.

And skaven will be coming in the future Nappen, Focusing on the 40k stuff first. Then going to get the fantasy stuff up and painted. Going to be a clan pestilens themed army.
