Not painting related, but I wanted to show it to you guys nonetheless. A co-worker handed me some oldschool stuff:

Image

*sigh* The good old days when I was anxious to get my hands on the new white dwarf! When battlereports were not written by people who wanted to describe it like a movie scene but told me what really happened on the battlefield ruleswise... when the whole magazin was still fun and you had the feeling that the whole magazin wasn't ONLY about advertising new models.

Image

Those minis are reeeeealy retro! xD

When I want to get all nostalgic, I just leaf through my original 40K Rogue Trader book. Man, the art in that book is both so good and so bad.

That art gets me pumped, because it was influenced or even drawn by Kev O'Neil. One of my favorites! 40K is like Marshal Law brought to the gaming table in a way.

I'm not as old school than you, but when I'm feeling nostalgic, I read again my CSM 3rd edition codex (1999) and then the codex edition 3.5 (2002). The first one is so primitive. You can't even buy an invulnerable save and there is : DOOMRIDER NA NA NA NA NA NA NA! . It's only 48 pages long btw and the models are sooooooooo ugly and primitive. It's mostly 2nd edition stuff. And then, when I read the 3.5 ed codex, I think sadly, but fondly to our long lost glory, our ability to play the legions close to their fluff and the immense customisation options we had. I know, it wasn't balanced, but it was awesome.

It's been quite some time since I posted something here... time goes by just too fast!

Friends of mine recently asked me if I could paint their game of zombicide. As I still have TONS of my own minis to paint I declined to paint all the zombies... but accepted to do the hero/survivor minis. So here is my first try on one of the miniatures. I have to say that they are quite nice to paint!

Oh and the mini isn't done yet. Still some work on the skin and the face left, as well as the base!

Oh and I also finished the third of my execution force assassins!

Only the callidus left! Once she is done I'll let those guys have a group foto shooting!
