LordMcAllister's Weekly Paint 2015

Post by LordMcAllister » Fri May 01, 2015 5:01 pm

Hey guys!

Addtionally to my WIP ,,Space Wolves" I wanted to open a new thread, where I could post anything non Space Wolves related.

My first post isn't actually painted by me. It's my girlfriends first finished project. She'd be glad to get some feedback! ;)

It looks great! I love the shade of blue she used and the highlights are very neat. You are lucky to have a girlfriend who shares your hobby.

Looks killer to me! Have you been teaching her the fine points of painting toy soldiers?

Speaking as someone who does a lot of lining, her stuff looks great! I know how hard it is to keep those edge highlights regular and even, and she did a really nice job. The gems all look nice too. About the only thing I can see that might need a little love are the steely metal parts, particularly in the engine intakes. It looks like a flat single color without a wash or a highlight, but then again that might be the lighting.

Don't screw it up - keep her happy so she sticks around. I can't wait to see more of her stuff!

Very nice indeed.

Personally I like to see the veins/strips of the canopy glass painted.

If this is her first model she has painted it is very impressive.

She is currently working on her Dire Avengers. Yes, I guess I'll be posting pictures once they are completed. ;)

Hey guys! I finished my first cultist for my ongoing deathmatch! It's really fun painting those cultist as I can try out a whole lot of different painting schemes and and highlightings! It compensates for not being able to take part in the monochrome deathmatch. ;)
