Nappen I was going to work on getting him magnetized for all options (all the heavy weapons, powers weapons, etc) but I'm absolutely stumped as to how I can magnetize those heavy weapons and I really should have chosen a different model in terms of pose. The running robe really doesn't allow for some of the heavy weapons, but it certainly looks good with melee weapons. Hopefully this little project can help me get over the death of Warhammer Fantasy and back into painting/modeling.

Haha! Yeah, riders without mounts wouldn't go very far.

I know how you feel hound, I am currently looking for a replacement for Warhammer Fantasy... Holding out on Kings of War tik I see this 'knight and water' themed army.

We can play fantasy, just like we did and not worry about rules changes :)

Well here is the finished product. Feels good to finish something for a change. That's one marine done, weekly pledge complete.

He is kinda scary, picture him bursting into your little chaos room in the middle of the night. Just needs glowing eyes.

I do enjoy the sense of motion that the robes give to the marines. Even the ones that are standing still have the edges of their robes moving slightly. The normal marine poses can seem very static at times. I'm pleased with how he turned out and more importantly how quick I was able to finish him. I'm going to try to get another marine done this week. Not sure about the magnets.

I'm sorely tempted to get some Dark Vengeance marines just to paint as The Covenant. I then realize I have too many 40K armies...and we haven't played in well over half a year WOW it was last February!!!!

Those pics remind me that I need to get started on my Guardians of the Covenant. I really shouldn't start more armies either, but I just had this idea for an interrogator chaplain conversion that I just had to do, a good deal on some DV mini's and BAM, I have 1000 points worth of models that need painting :P

I went with guardians because of Hound's awesome mini's, any chance we can get an army pic at some point?

I'll see what I can do, Arnathos! Glad you like them. All the good models are painted by Oceangrave anyway! Your Wordbearers have seriously tempted me to the heresy of Chaos more than once, and your Empire models have kept me motivated on more than one occasion. Tell me more about this conversion...

Well it all started with the new interrogator chaplain model being released. I was like "Heh, he does look sort of cool, but whats with the pretentious 'Interrogator Chaplain' hogmanay, he is just a Chaplain, right?"

I then opened up the new codex at the FLGS and I was awestruck! 3 wounds? Ballistic Skill 5? Preferred Enemy(Chaos Space Marines) and a ton of other cool special rules! I knew then I had to own it, but wanted a terminator variant. The new head and Crozius were too cool not to use so I decided to not use the old Diazlain and convert one up from Deathwing knights and the new interrogator chaplain.

I'll be using the mace arms from the DW knights, the top replaced with the Crozius, the left stormbolter arm from the Deathwing champion (who in turn will get a TH+SS, because I'm not having any of that power sword noise). I'll be using one of the cool robed bodies of the knights with the head of the new chaplain and possibly put the chimney on his back as well.
Time will tell... Sooner or later... Time will tell.
