If you say so.. At least I have resisted attempts from my friends to get me into Maulifaux. It looks like a good game, but none of the factions make me go 'ooooh me likey'

Yeah, that was what kept me from Malifaux for the longest time... there was no faction I really loved, just individual models here and there. I've put the Lady Justice starter set together, but I honestly wouldn't have chosen to get the Scales of Justice if it wasn't in the set.

I love Malifaux more every time I play, it's quickly become my favorite game. It's really cheap to get started, I highly recommend it.

Leaning towards the Ten Thunders. After knights and medieval culture/times Japanese/Samuria culture are another time period I have an interest in.

Update on the hobby front: Planned to paint last night but by the time I had time to paint I was too tired and frustrated to paint, I will paint tired, sad, angry etc but I don't when I am frustrated.. Broke a model that way when I first started.
Only thing I've done hobby related is make more Hobby gods...all your fault Dez.

Ten Thunderers are one of my faves next to outcasts of course ;) I got more into malifaux from reading the rule/lore book. It's very immersive and fairly unique, I think! lot of fun to read

Somehow I ended up with only one kid this weekend coming up, starting Friday, so I plan to go for a lot of painting *crosses fingers*

Hoping you get time for more painting soon, in any case, and can relax and enjoy it =)

Is it bad that I am considering finding a way to make the paint/hobby gods in my head into minis?

Finally got some painting in. Not much more than touch ups and a start on the tartan pattern.

I need to convince myself that weekly paint does not mean I only paint once a week.

Any road, on with the update. Finished the tartan pattern today... It's simpler than I was planning but it just looked too busy and..congested I think is the right word, when I made it fancy, so I went with the KISS rule and went with a simple design. Other than that I touched up the sloppy spots, something I do nearly every time I paint, and I inked/wash the skin. I picked up blue ink and some metallic paints from the P3 line... For some reason I thought ink and wash was the same thing..maybe they are and P3 is just thicker, but it covered more than I was expecting, I have now learned to add more water. I will be posting pictures of the tartan tomorrow.
