So, here's work on my Khorne prince. The chaos star on the base ended up being a bit more subtle than I wanted, but that's okay. I need a glaze on the flesh before proceeding but I couldn't find mine.

I like the hinted Chaos Star on the base. Are those pointy stones? Or did you cut up some plastic?

Those are the Medium slate bits from the Warhammer Basing Kit. The base itself is painted Rhinox Hide, then drybrushed with Zandri Dust, Ushabti Bone and Screaming Skull, then the burnt or dead grass bits on it. For other armies I use grass colored flock but everything else remains the same. Rhinox Hide for my border trim too.
