With so many projects in the fire, not sure when I will get to them. Motivation has been low the last week or so, which only makes it worse.

I hear that =/ holiday weekends (MLK day here) tend to do that to me, since the kids are all home.

anyway, so new week coming up, planning to work on mouslings (hopefully finish), my Dead of Winter entry, and necrons. Trying to get all DaemonSpawn's necrons done before the end of the month, as his birthday is the 29th and I'd like to give them to him for a gift, then. Gonna do my best.

I got the warrior bases almost done, and the swarms. Going for an alien blue world or ice world kind of feel. Hopefully will match the blue highlights/trim bits on rest of army.

Ordered a couple of airbrush paints today (basically leadbelcher and a silver, forget the brand), so I'm going to try to basecoat the necrons with the airbrush <crosses fingers> have to see how that goes

^^decided to add a pic of the bases, as I'm thinking about adding scatter to them, some tufts of white blue 'grass' and/or alien plants... Only I'm not sure how to go about doing that. I might try 'painting' some tufts and see if that works. Unless I can think of or find something that would already be blue I can make tufts out of. Might need to do a hobby store run and see what is on clearance.

Got some more done on the Mouslings, a few bits need touch up. Waiting on paint to dry so I can matte coat em before starting highlights, etc. The grey bits will be metal (except the fur), I just had primed white so I wanted a better undercoat for coverage.

well I'm currently trying to GS a beret but so far I suck at sculpting...

(lol j/k! about the beret part. I really do suck at sculpting tho)

And yay! I got my necron bases done - except alien flock/tufts/grass. And get this, I was hanging out on FB, cuz I do that sometimes, and someone suggested "velvet nails" for grass. I guess it's a nail art thing, basically 2mm fancy colours static grass kinda thing o.O who knew?! The only thing I paint my nails with is my brush when I miss :P

MORE FROSTGRAVE!!!

I hear you on motivation...though I have been building Dark Age stuff. My airbrush broke AGAIN, and I'm still waiting on customer support...for over a week. Just sent in an out of patience email.

To make sand stick, mix half glue half water and apply it to the sand based area. Viola, it sticks forever and ever and is good to drybrush!

Hahaha! Personally, I find the situation cute. But as you said somewhere else, I'm such a romantic. :D

That's hilarious Sperian =D

I think I've made some progress on the tuft idea! I went hunting through the craft store last night, looking through clearance and what not. While I like the idea of the predone velvet things, I'm a fan of inexpensive stuff. Plus, I have so much junk it's gotta be good for something right?!

So my idea atm is to use floss. There are various flosses available in metallics, sadly, not the colours I wanted. While translucent might be better (and I gave serious thought to cutting up something old from Christmas), I think I'm going to go with the floss, if it works. Stay tuned!

*edit* btw, by floss I mean embroidery floss, not like the tooth stuffs
