40k Tournament Feb 11th

Post by Bubba » Tue Jan 31, 2012 11:58 pm

This question is for MWG staff or whomever is running the tournament.

I was looking to go to the 40k tourny on Feb. 11th and I was wondering what your tournament rules are regarding proxies or actual weapons. Is the tournament WYSIWYG? Or is there some lean?

Any info would be great thanks!

I dont want to speak for the staff or people running said tournament but having gone to the last few proxying is ok within reason;

Ex; My dreadnaughts arms are glued on (fist and melta) but i gave different arms in my army. So long as it is clearly stated it shouldnt be an issue.

Personally I dont mind even for characters or HQ choices so long as its obvious, different models, totally different paint job, giant banner etc. Thats more of a personal note and im unsure on it as well. (mostly i hate the mephiston model and want to bring dante as mephy)

Hopefully someone will see this and give a definite answer lol

All models must be WYSIWYG. Non GW models are allowed, but we still need to be able to tell what it is and what it's armed with by looking at it.

Is there any way to secure a spot beforehand? A friend and I were planning on attending.

You can pre-order and pay for your tournament pass (and lunch if you want it) through the online store, or stop in tonight if you're local. If you're having trouble finding them on the site, go to the online store, down at the bottom of the sidebar is a link for "Event Tickets".

I'm 95% sure registration begins at 10:30am tomorrow with the view to start games at 11:00am. I'm going to double check and post again here if it's any different.

Any notation on the time it will be starting there's nothing on the club page?

They usually started at 9 with round 1: 9-11, 2: 12-2, and 3: 2-4.
