oh! lol! no its not  It's dads :P

My dad got it for me to make a 40k board but he thinks its to thin to hold up to too much stress, i've used it and so far it seems pretty strong so it shouldn't be a problem once you put some supports under it

No, mdf stands for medium density fibre board. Its wood made from saw dust. Super smooth and strong as long as it does not get wet.

I went to phoenix rising today. No bone griffins, so I bought orcs. :/

I thought there was quick start rules included?

Doug,

I am glad someone has the rules LOL. I printed out the cheat sheet.

I built the table this afternoon. I am not satisfied with the water effect, so I will have to work on that, but otherwise it is done. I'll finish the islands this week. The table can flip so I may build a Heavy Gear table on the other side (sand and some small hills).

I am sitting at my kitchen table painting my or fleet. Orcs are kind of cool but lack any broadside power. I will probably get some Bone Griffon allies.

When can we play?

when we figure out how? We can talk Thursday with Ryan and see what schedules are like. If you make the Islands big enough, we can land the ships and disembark the Heavy Gear to battle on land, for land battles and embark to escape and return to the Uncharted Seas for water warfare.

I was reading up about table size and fleet points. The consensus is that a 4'x4' table will hold 750 pts per side.

A typical starter box is around 500 pts, so we have some room to grow with this game until we get a 6'x4' table made.

Cool  mabey we could just put it next to your dock table at MWG if we want a bit more water? I'm not sure how much more it would give us but it may be worth looking at

I finished painting my Orc fleet last night. The miniatures are very nice and easy to paint using washes. I'll post some pics.

Islands are next. I have a halloween skull that I will set into a high hill that should look cool.

I need to pick up a rule book soon. Doug can you bring the one you have on Thursday?
