Hello,

Just double checking if we decided on 2000 PTS? Main reason is I just got a stompa today along with the Apoc books (regular and expansion rules).

So, not enough for a very large Apoc game, which I am sure you would rather keep it small if even play it at all.

Of course, if you want to do Firestorm Armada, I would love to do that instead as I just picked up another two fleets today; Directorate and Dindrenzi (already have Relthoza). This means I can field Alliance fleets, a 60/40 fleet percentage of a combination of two fleets that are allied with each other. I also picked up Directorate and Relthoza escort packages.

I am flexible, but if at all I would prefer to do either a larger 40K game or Firestorm, which is generally a bit quicker.

Let me know what you have in mind. I am prepared to do whatever you would like of course.

P.S. Either way I would really enjoy playing your Firestorm fleets, if afterwards or as the BATREP. Not many people play in these parts that I know of and it would be refreshing to see some new tactics used with new fleets.

Hey Matt.
I have a pretty clear summer and was wondering if you wanted to try Fantasy Beat-Matt....?
I have lots of WoC and TK guys, I know you have tomb kings... so maybe my Woc VS your TKs?
Depending on the day I could come in during the day if thats good for you (or anytime really).

I have my Cryx as well but I havent played them alot lately so I would be totally lost. Since I havent seen a Fantasy report maybe that would be the way to go.

CAM
Fantasy: WoC = 5000, Daemons = 3000, Dwarfs = 4000
40k: IG = 9000, SW = 4000
Warmachine: Cryx = 200
Hordes: Skorne = 100
All 100% Painted

Definitely.

I was actually planning on doing a Fantasy week where I do two battles per day, but both during the day.

Are you available during the day?

Hello Matt,

I've got a army I've been eager to test and my friends are far to lazy to pick up an army. I was wondering, are you up for a 40k match, (I'll bring some Necrons)? If so I live in Hamilton, and have very limited transportation. Minding that I'm also very new to the hobby, so I was hoping it could also be a way for me to better understand the rules. If this is possible my army would more than likely have to be 1500 points. If this can be done, I would seriously appreciate it.

Yes definitely, although my next availability isn't until the week of July 25th.

Are you available during the day, or only in the evening?

I should probably be able to do some narrowing down of times on Sunday, I'll contact you (via this forum), when I get the narrowed down time.

Alright, I might as well ask ahead of time... Do you know what we'll play (deployment-wise)? Additionally seeing as how I live in Hamilton, and since my transportation is so limited, how would we play? Would you come here and we play at B.K.G (Black Knight Games), or would we do something else. Afterall it would be impossible for me to get to you... As for when I can play (if you can make it here), I should be good in the evening.

Unfortunately you need to come to the MWG club if you want to do a Beat Matt Batrep.

If you can't make it here, then we can't do a battle.

Sorry!

Hello Matt,

I am able to do 1000 points for Firestorm Armada using a mixed alliance fleet consisting of any two factions of Relthoza, Directorate or Dindrenzi, a 60/40 split respectively between the two that I pick (as per the rule book). However, I could do more points with either two fleets, though the book suggests 500-1000 before the game gets clogged down.

Also, would you allow a self made ship (R&D Firestorm Armada Resin with a modified stat line to fit into a cruiser squadron)? The stat line rules in the back of the book give room to create a ship. I would of course show you the make up beforehand through a forum post for you to agree that the cruiser is not illegal. The reason I would like this is that I would like to have a ship that adds a thematic focus to my fleet. Plus the R&D cruiser looks so nice.

Thank you for your consideration.

That works fine for me (including the custom ship).

1000 points it is.

How much have you played the game? I want to make sure we can keep things moving quickly as 1000 point games tend to take a little longer.

I have played the game quite considerably. My friends and I are always at each other using different tactics to get an edge.

The only problem I have is intercept movements in regards to interceptors. The rules seem a bit convoluted. I have been playing games with only fighters and a few cruisers in order to get used to the rules and have a good understanding now. However, I will drill the heck out of my fighters to make sure I am using them right.

Other then that the game is so easy I don't see myself slowing you down (knock on wood).

I will repost soon with a couple different heavy cruisers I was thinking of fielding. That is, unless you want my list posted before the match up? Either way let me know, I will accommodate any requirements. Otherwise I wouldn't want to telegraph my tactics unless I have to.

If it all sounds well and fair then I can't wait for the matchup.

Thank you for your consideration.

Yup, it all sounds good. Don't worry about submitting anything. As long as it is legal, then it's all good.
