Matt,

I would like to run a 40K scenario on the June 4th games night in memory of D-Day.

An amphibious assault on beach defences with landing craft, etc (all provided by me). I'll need 2 of the green and brown 4'x4' boards.

The scenairo will need Imperium (marine and guard) and Ork/Chaos marine forces. 4-6 players.


What do you say?

Great! I have already begun work on 6 troop landing craft and 2 tank landing craft.

I have my Marines to use, but I also need about 1000 points of Imperial Guard, 500-750 points of Chaos and 500-750 points of orks (or 1000-1500 points of either/or)

I'll post a build thread in the terrain section tonight.

Also, could you tell me the height of the terrain boards (frame+plywood surface) as I am building beach walls.

you will have to make your own 40K wasp conversion (thats one I'd like to see! 8) ). And the Chaos/Ork armies will be the ones manning the beach defences. :lol:

Wel considering that D-Day was a joint landing by al allies I thik what'd be cool is get like 4,000 pts of orks and then a joint force of

1,000 pts of Guard
1,000 pts of Eldar
1,000 pts of Tau
1,000 pts of Marines


Please note that though these 'United' forces have thier differences it'd represent the huge threat that the Orks were and that these 3 factions (Guard and Marines are on the same side) would settle thier differences temporarily to purge this ork threat once and for al.

This is a good idea. It will all depend on what armies are available at the club.

Darn !! I wish I lived near you guys. Then I could see that landing and troop deployment. Maybe you can make a live stream movie of the whole thing happening ?? So everybody who doesn't live near you can follow it ;)
