thx

i am having trouble with the gold though. the layer of paint comes out way to thick which makes shading hard because i don't want to lose all the details. Guess i need to figure out how to thin them down correctly

Top notch blending you have there. While I don't have experience with anything other than the GW Metallics I would like to reccomend that you give this guy some shading with a wash. I see some great texture on the model that could be brought out.

That blending looks great! I think a couple of the panels look a bit flat, could just be me though. Anyway, welcome to the club! Soria will get the welcome basket sorted :)

Nice (or ugly depending on your side  ) figure. As far as the golds go, what I did with my sanguinary guard and such, i mixed a bit with black (all citadel paints btw) so it got a darker tint and made it stay on a bit better. After that i kinda dry brushed the original gold over. It's harder with these details, but maybe worth a shot.

thanks :)

yeah this one takes more of my time then i expected, i hope that i will finish it this week but it will be hard.

i already spent more then 12 h on the model since i had to learn how to do the flames. and using the vallejo golds took a lot of time too, since i had trouble figuring out how not to get clumps in it (the paint sat to long in the shop i think)

Take some bits of plastic or metal like in your bits box, put em into the pot of paint and shake well and see, if nothing happen then your screwed I think.
