Well, it appears that I am late on the draw!

I have been avoiding modelling / painting for the past few months after getting burnt out. Im slowly getting back into it, mostly after seeing the new Helbrute kit.

Anyways, to start off, here is a WIP of an Obliterator that im in the process of converting. I am using 3 AOBR termies as a base for the convertions, and I have some of the Dark Vengeance termies coming as well.

Here is the link to the album: http://imgur.com/a/4Er3o#k5d2nNG

I still have a bunch of work left to do to him, going to add some tentacles and stuff... trying to keep them down to one or two guns, mainly because I don't like how cluttered the GW models are.

As always, C&C is welcome.

Cheers!

Same here, and they are fun to make too.

While I am waiting for some conversion bits to arrive, I decided to try my hand at some scratch building.

Here are the results of my WIP scratch-build Blight Drone:

I realize he is a bit bigger than he should be, so I am going to tone the next one down a bit, probably will dig out my Chronos to use for scale.

Cheers!

Thanks! It was relatively simple to do, used some tinfoil to get the "core" shape, and then used some DAS air-dry clay to make the body and then a ton of greenstuff for the texture / armor.

All in all, without drying time, about 4 hours so far.

Agreed, cheap and so easy to use. The best, and worst part about it is that its air dry. Sculpt and leave it out, and you are good to go the next morning. Forget you have a brick laying around and it dries out...

Not much progress last night, but I did, however, receive this:

Enough parts for 3 helbrutes and 5 more obliterators, converted from the DV terminators.

Cheers!

Well, time for an update!

I finished building the three Hellbrutes, which went together like a breeze. Even hacking at the DV hellbrute to give it a plasma cannon didn't take very long:

I decided to prime my plasma-brute last night, but ended up messing it up somehow... brand new can of spray, thought i shook it well, and it came out like so:

So im not sure if I will try and give it another coat tonight, or just leave it and try to work the cracks into my scheme... It should work with chaos... i hope...

If you guys have any ideas, it would be greatly appreciated!
