The scales look great. The green skin seems a little to "orky"

The green skin is a bit orky....Maybe have a bit lighter green to contrast the scales?

So the skin is Castellan Green -> Athonian Camoshade -> Waaaagh Flesh (that is my base skin color) -> Warboss Green Drybrush -> Skarsnik Green Drybrush. To get it to look less Orcy would y'all suggest swapping Skarsnik for Steel Legion Drab? I'd love to use Death World Forest, but I don't have that color and won't be able to get to the store for a while. Suggestions?

Also I want to keep it green mainly because the other stegadon will either be blue (most likely) with the future carnasaur being red.

What do you guys thing the horns should be colored?

So I started with this, and I liked it.

Image

Then I got motivated, here is where I am now. I'm base coating all the horns/spines. Going to go dheneb stone next, then brown wash, and dheneb again. I'm really liking it.

Looking good, seems like the edges between the scales and flesh are a bit blurry, if you are going for a gradient style connection though it works perfectly.

Its looks amazing! The warm yellow green colour of the skin contrasts with the cool blue green perfectly.

Thanks both of you! I'm very happy with it. I wanted an organic feel to the color changes, so both the scales and the skin have a warboss green dry brush. I wanted the leathery skin to have the brown color while the harder scaled areas would have a green color that ranged to the blue. Can't wait to finish this!

Close up on the scales, cuz I'm proud!

Its come a long way from the original model. $20 on eBay and a lot of work/love made it into a real centerpiece. Now on to the howdah, crew, and the improved firing array.
