BTW, in kill teams, do you buy individual models or you have to go for at least the minimum size of the squads you want to field? I've never played kill teams ever.
Signet-Powers wrote:I already established a while ago in my narrative on Lucius that one of the Scions is a Pyschic blank, so can I give him the 'Psychic abomination' rule? I know it isn't a universal rule, but its fluffy and will rarely come into play anyway.
What does it do? I'm curious.

If it's only to a single model, than yes.

Anyways, if your characters already come with bulit in special rules, then they don't count towards that limit, so you can tack another special rule onto that model.

When I'm referring to characters, yes I mean invidual models, not the whole unit.

Normally you buy squads like you would for a regular game. The difference is that each model operates independantly.

I would try to follow this rule, though I'm willing to make exceptions, as long as it's not over the top.

I said I can make some exceptions, so keep your team the way it is.

I like it the way it is.

Cult of ecstatic death
Lead by the chaos sorcerer Deselin, the cult is mainly comprised of noise marines, cultists, a few bikes, and a host of sorcerers. Deselin was once a sorcerer who worked with Fulgrim. However, when the Emporers children split apart, Deselin and a large number of his fellow sorcerers created their own warband. Over the years, this warband shrank instead of growing. Because of their tendency to reject other marines who wish to join unless they are perfect fighters for Slaneesh, their numbers are few but elite. On the flip side, the warband frequently employs cultists as a meat shield for themselves, allowing the replaceable to die quick while the noise marines do the heavy lifting. A small warband of bikes has been known to act alongside the Cult. They met Phaeron Nosnibor about 80 Teran years prior to Traxis, at which point Deselin's personality changed majorly. Instead of perfection, he became focused on pleasing Slaneesh. As a result, he began to take in many more marines, allowing their numbers to swell to nearly 2,000. However, the fighting in Traxis was especially costly for Deselin. His forces now are much smaller than they once were.

Notable figures
-Deselin, Sorcerrer of Slaneesh

Kill team
Wraymek's Symphony
in a battle with the Helios guard, his squad was assigned a simple task, take down a devastated squad. Because they were unable to, Deselin has forced them to redeem themselves with this mission. Has an icon of excess

Wraymek- Aspiring champion, one of Deselin's most trusted servants before the battle. Wields a doom siren and a lighting claw.
Special rule- Hit & Run

Axel- wields a blast master
-special rule Relentless

Sylin, Xerov, Dawjyn, Lpinzal, and Hystlen are all wielding sonic boasters (5 total)
Also, the Sorcerrer Pericthyus follows the squad. He is a ML 2 psycher in terminator armor with a force sword, Sigil of corruption, and a bolt pistol. Special rule- fleshbane

The Brotherhood of Vengence: A Thousand Sons Chapter

Full story coming soon. I will edit the main message when it's ready. But here is the Kill Team

Kill Team strike force:

Ctesias Azael (Sorcerer):

Wargear: Mastery Level 3, Power Axe, Bolt Pistol, Mark of Tzeentch, Sigil of Corruption, Spell Familiar.
Special Rule: Fearless

(If you find him to be a too powerful character, I will downgrade him a bit. It’s mostly a fluff thing anyway).

Thousand Sons cult: Athanaean (Telepathy)

Background: Ctesias Azael is a member of the Athanaeans cult recruited relatively recently in the warband. He is a powerful sorcerer, mastering the art of invisibility, calling or shaping the shadow to conceal himself or his soldiers and messing with people’s mind. Since Khadeth Qezremah is the chief Athanaeans of the warband, he is under his orders, a fact that he resents greatly. He feels that his direct superior is foolish and lacks judgement, despite being very skilled in the art and he suspects him of disloyalty toward Lord Suren.

He senses that if he gets himself to the notice of Lord Suren, he could succeed him as the leader of the Athanaeans when his boss inevitably finally makes a fatal mistake and is radically eliminated. He is determined to succeed in his mission on Gehenna, whatever it costs. If the whole squad is to be wiped out to get back what Suren wants, so be it. He will ruthlessly crush all opposition to his goal. Eternal war has made him utterly fearless and resolute to reach his goals at all cost.

The Harrowers (Chosen Squad):

Background: Like all units of original members of Lord Caelius’ warband, the Harrowers real identity and previous allegiances are unknown, irritating Lord Suren to no end. However, no one could deny the Harrowers’ efficiency and their loyalty seemed total during the last few millennia of services under Suren’s banner. Until then, Lord Suren had kept them on a short leash, but he used this mission as an opportunity to test their loyalty under Ctesias Azael close watch.

Specialised in infiltration, commando raids, urban warfare and installation seizing, they are the ideal unit to do the job. Unconfirmed rumours tell that they were sent by Lord Suren himself to follow additional training by the Alpha Legion. The Harrowers are veterans of countless engagement against human, Astartes and Xenos opponents and have emerged victorious each time. However, the last operation had left one of the dead and he hasn’t been replaced yet. They still are ready to serve and prove again their skills in the current crucial mission.

Constantinus (Chosen Champion):

Wargear: Bolter, Bolt Pistol, Power Sword, Frag and Krak Grenades.

Special Rule: Prefered enemy (everything)

Background: Constantinus has seen millennia of countless battles and engagements in the service of Lord Caelius and Lord Suren alike. He has fought and defeated a large variety of enemies and has meticulously learned to strike them where the maximum damage may be inflicted. While very professional, he prefers to lead in a more casual manner being close to his men and often teasing them by calling them his “ladies” or other less flattering names. However, when on the field, he doesn’t tolerate banter that could endanger the mission success and is very demanding of his men. His major defaults are a curious tendency for womanizing for a Space Marine (which led him to be manipulated by female spies quite a few times) and a tendency of overestimating the chances of success of certain very dangerous manoeuvers. He is an adept of taking calculated risks, but he often goes way too far.

Marcus “the firefighter”:

Wargear: Flamer, Bolt Pistol, Chainsword, Krak and Frag grenades.

Background: Marcus surname is obviously a joke on the fact he is the designated flamer. Another running joke in the squad tells that his first encounter with flames was when he set fire to a whole residential area at merely 10 years old… Of course Marcus is the first to laugh at the joke, even the less flattering ones about setting fire to kittens and other adorable creatures. Despite his fascination with fire, he is known to be easy going and enlightening the squad’s day with pleasantries and other forms of teasing.

Tiberius “the boring”(KIA):

Wargear: Meltagun, Bolt Pistol, Chainsword, Melta Bombs, Krak and Frag grenades.
Special rule: Tank Hunting (purely for fluff reasons as we most certainly won’t encounter armored vehicles. It’s redundant with his main weapons anyway).

Background: Tiberius is the tank hunting specialist of the squad and knows very well his trade. He regularly studies all known armored vehicle designs both Xenos and Imperial to take them out quickly and with efficiency if needed. When he doesn’t use his beloved Meltagun, he is most often seen with a Lascannon or a Missile Launcher depending of the mission. He has a killjoy serious behavior which makes him somewhat less well integrated to his squads than his more sociable or open teammates, but everyone respect his skills.

Hadrianus:

Wargear: Plasma Gun, Bolt Pistol, Chainsword, Krak and Frag grenades.

Background: A highly experienced plasma gunner, Hadrianus is often assigned alongside his brother Aurelius with providing ranged fire support during operations. Like his leader, he prefers to keep the banter out of combat operations. Because of that, he is often seen as being the informal second in command in the squad. He has tactical acumen and is a moderating influence on Constantinus. Sometimes his conservatism makes him miss some tactical opportunities that his leader would have seized. Outside combat, he is friendly and can even unexpectedly throw an unexpected funny commentary delivered without the hint of a smile.

Aurelius (KIA):

Wargear: Plasma Gun, Bolt Pistol, Chainsword, Krak and Frag grenades.

Background: Hadrianus’ younger brother is also an experienced plasma gunner. Used in the same way, he is less of a leader and more of a good and reliable soldier. He is focused on military matters and while not as killjoy as Tiberius, he isn’t really someone who one could see as friendly and certainly not funny. He has also the habit of painting his kill count on his armor like a fighter ace would do on his aircraft. He has reached a point where he is forced to use numerals as otherwise his armor wouldn’t have enough surface for all of them.

Scipio:

Wargear: Bolter, Bolt Pistol, Chainsword, Krak and Frag grenades.
Special equipment: Augury Scanner, hacking device, long range communication equipment.

Background: Scipio is the electronic warfare specialist and his usual jobs are hacking cogitators, mechanically or electronically locked doors, etc. He also uses the scanning devices to detect the enemy and operates the long range communication equipment. He is coldly professional and is very reliable. He is calm and introverted.

Antoninus(KIA):

Wargear: Bolter, Bolt Pistol, Chainsword, Demolition Charges, Breaching Charges, Meltas Bombs, Krak and Frag grenades.

Background: He is the squad demolition specialist and the doors that Scipio cannot hack are generally destined to be blasted away by Antoninus. He is of course also the one called to sabotage targets when needed. He is also an expert to defuse bombs. Very calm and focused during operations, his personality is a lot more open when outside them. He is courageous and known to place his own life in danger to save his comrades. This self-less behaviour mixed with some unsuccessful defusing attempts has owed him his share of cybernetic replacement parts.

Nah, your sorcerer is fine.

Should he prove to be too strong, your team may simply encounter things that are far more deadly than the others may face.

I just realised that I forgot to right one of the squadmate as they are 8+1 sorcerer and I have only wrote 7 characters among the chosen. I will come with another guy soon, but for now, he will be called Decimus and will be a regular Chosen armed with a bolter with no particular specialty or special weapon.

Seems good. My only issue is that these are more like Stormtroopers than Scions. What with how they come from one planet and have women. If I was you I'd call them Stormtroopers, they're almost entirely the same thing and you have more creative control over them, so you're not limited by the official Scion fluff.

Oh, this is actually an IG (or AM) army, not just the Scions. Though the Scions are quite there.
