- The Rear Admiral von Spee: "My Lord, one heavy cruiser is seriously damaged! A Heavy Lance hit opened a large breach in it!"
- Lord Aphael calmly said: "I know. Order the Raptoras (Telekinesis specialists) amongst the crew to create a Kine Shield to close the breach, then break combat and reach the nearest planet for reparations."
- The Rear Admiral von Spee: "We will see if it will be enough. Maybe we will have to take it in tow."
- Lord Aphael: "The enemy escaped anyway. Make the necessary preparations and then we will rejoin the main fleet."

If he lost the cruiser, Suren wouldn't be pleased.

On Suren's Battleship bridge:

Lord Suren, was watching silently the void of the space, the enemy fleet that was in the now empty space having escaped. Around him the Admiral, the Lieutenant and the other officers were gasping and sweating a bit more than the usual, waiting for a punishment. Then, suddenly, Lord Suren said:

- "Prepare the fleet for Warp jump and transmit the same order to Aphael after he put the damaged cruiser to safety. "

Then he turned around and walked out of the command bridge with his usual decided step without speaking more, the 2 rows made of his terminator guard following him 2 by 2 as he passed in front of them. The human officers were visibly relieved. The losses weren't too high in fact. A Heavy cruiser was disabled, 3 cruisers were damaged at various levels, but repairable and 6 escort vessels were lost.

The fleet of Wolcott wasn't so lucky and it seemed to behave heratically, probably because the command structure was disorganised. They had lost several large units, including some battleships, and many more smaller ships. Most of it was caused by their falthering high command. It had fought largely as an iddle force, largely reactive and had taken few initiatives. Surely something must have happened to Wolcott and his staff.

The enemy had been badly hurt, but they had fought heroically. A good one third of their fleet at least was completely lost. The rest of it was badly battered. They would need months to be repaired at full working order. They had saved the most important however, their precious geneseed. The Helios Guards wouldn't be lost forever to history ... for now.

Get those rocks under control!
The gauss fire had distracted Phaeron Nosnibor. However, a few of his crypteks had been able to get onto the asteroids and disable the weapons.
"Now, send Reschtakh some help."

Most of his fleet still intact, Reschtakh sent them racing full speed at the retreating space marines. "Come on! Faster you fools!" He thought to himself "I've got you now Valorum."

Sergeant Eselon watched as explosions rippled down the hull of the Hostis Intercept. At 150 kilometers, they had detonated the charges in place on the reactor. It remained to be seen whether they would be enough to completely destroy the ship. Close to half an hour later, they had reached the Fortis Prafectum. Looking now at the docking bay, Eselon could see that even the legendary toughness of the Helios Guard had been stretched to the limit. Dead and wounded Astartes were everywhere, supported by their unhurt and intact brothers. He had heard rumors that the gene-seed had gotten out, and that they were now pulling back, but could not be sure. He could only hope that whatever was on Wolcott's ship could be stopped by the charges he had placed.

Acanthus Valorum stood on the bridge, helmet tucked under one arm, as he watched his forces retreat. They were battered and scarred, but they had survived. Watching the Thousand Sons retreat gave him some hope, but, beyond them, he could see the plagued ships of Reschtahk heading straight for them. Though he would ensure that his brothers were able to leave, as they were now, part of him, the young, firey part, still hoped that Reschtahk would reach him. Then, the matter would be settled once and for all. He would prove to his brothers beyond all doubt that they could outlast all others, no matter how tenacious. Their past would no longer continue to haunt them. As his strike cruisers and lighter ships began to fall back into the warp, Valorum thought to himself: Reschtahk. Come to me.

A portal opened. It was larger than any normal portal and it didn't come from the warp. Out of it emerged an entire fleet. 750 escorts and 30 cruisers lead by 3 Battleships, an Emperor class, an Apocalypse class and lead by a Retribution class.

Aboard the Retribtuion Class Battleship Bellum Avis, the High Lord Admiral took another sip of his fine wine. He had brought with him half of the entire Kestral Sectors fleet. The Chief Astropath approached him and bowed. "Speak." The Admiral snorted.
"My Lord, we were just pulled out of warp transit. By what means we do not know, however we have arrived in the Traxis system far quicker than originally anticipated."
"I see." The Admiral nodded, taking another sip of wine. "What is this I'm looking at?" he asked, pointing towards the view from the main viewpoint. Out of it they could see the remains of a recent battle, debris everywhere.
The first lieutenant approached and bowed. "It appears that the 706th Support fleet attempted to engage in active combat with the enemy fleet. Presumably the enemy escaped. less than half of the 706th fleet is still here."

The High Lord Admiral held out his empty glass and a servitor began to refill it. "Idiots." he laughed. "Where's the Flagship?"
A holographic image appeared on the viewpoint, magnifying to reveal an image of the Hostis Intercept. It was damaged heavily. All systems offline and a clear amount of internal explosions had torn it apart. Yet, it was still mostly holding together, if a mess. Most of the surviving Kestral escorts were circling it, seemingly in a defensive formation. There no other cruisers or Battleships left intact.
"Ugh..." The High Lord Admiral groaned. "They must have tried to engage this... Helios Guard fleet in boarding range. Where is the enemy fleet?"
"We can't see anything High Lord Admiral." an officer replied.
"Right. In that case, prepare a boarding party, we can assume that any marines left with their fleet. We can see if we can find the Commander."
"He better still be alive." Came voice from behind him.
The High Lord Admiral pressed a button on his seat and the machinery span it around. "Major Wolcott, an M-class battleship is a big ship. There are plenty of places he could hide on it that would ensure his survival, and no doubt his men will have given their lives to protect him if he had been in any real trouble."

Major Solstice Wolcott crossed her arms. "I'll be leading the Boarding Party personally. If my younger Brothers 'still on board I'll find him."
"Good idea major." the Admiral agreed.
"High Lord Admiral!" The 1st lieutenant interrupted. "Non-Kestral vessels detected."
"Onscreen!"
The holographc images changed to reveal several other ships. None of these ships had the Helios Guard symbols on them.
"...Feth."

"IFF scans complete,
Necrons vessels detected,
Ork vessels detected,
Chaos vessels, classification Tzeench detected,
Chaos vessels, classification Slaanesh detected."

The Admiral clapped his hands together. "No wonder the 706th Support fleet was destroyed, they were attacked by all these enemy ships!"
One of the officers gave a quizzical look towards the High Lord Admiral."My Lord these ships aren't firing on the the Kestral vessels. It appears that they're even escorting the Kestral ships."
The High Lord Admiral stroked his chin. This was very suspicious. "I see. For some reason there appears to be a ceasefire of sorts. Lock all weapons onto these vessels."
The Major shouted an order to the Guardsmen nearby and they nodded.

"Admiral!" she yelled. "I'm boarding the Hostis Intercept immediately. I'll find out what happened from the ships logs. There's something out of the ordinary going on. I highly recommend you don't fire at anything until I can confirm the situation."
"These ships belong to humanity's sworn enemies." the High Lord Admiral reminded her.
"Yes. But they're also each others sworn enemies. Somthing's happened and I'm going to find out what."

Fortis Praefectum remained outside the warp portal, firing at those enemy ships still daring to approach as the strike cruisers and escort ships slipped away. Like a great, pugnacious shark, the battle-barge circled, intercepting enemy fire on its powerful void shields and dealing killing and crippling blows to wounded enemy ships. But it could not last forever. Eventually, the enemy's superior numbers would bring the ancient vessel down if it remained for much long. Already, most of its smaller cousins had entered the warp. Those that remained would not for much longer. On the bridge, Acanthus Valorum could see pockmarked ships belonging to Lord Reschtahk heading their way. He prayed that the lord, at least, would be quick enough to reach them, that he could strike him down personally before he was forced to retreat. The honor of his Chapter demanded it, but, for the Helios Guard to survive at all, it would need to happen quickly. Damn you, Reschtahk. Where are you?

One of the many Helios Guard light escort vessels that had escaped into a warp jump was the Tarros Stone. Onboard this ship the servitor crew were seeing to a squad of battle brothers. the Sergent let out a satisfied breath as the servitors removed his Paldrons and applied sacred oils.
"We scored an excellent victory today brothers," the Sergent declared. "the enemy fleet has been severely damaged and our Chapters honor has been restored! You all performed admirably."
"As did you, brother Sergent." one of the marines who'd fully removed his armor answered.
"Indeed," agreed another. "Without your experience we'd likely not have performed as well as we did against the lecherous Traitor Guard."
The Sergent nodded, a sense of pride filling him. He and his squad had teleported onto one of the Kestralite cruisers and supported the Terminators in destroying it from the inside. They'd teleported back onto the cruiser so that they could board onto another ship, but then the order to retreat had been given.
"What are we to do now?" One brother asked.
The sergent got up as the servitors removed thelast piece of armor. "We are to arrive at the planned location and await until the Fortis Praefectum turns up with further orders.

*CLANG!!!*

They all turned to see where the noise had come from. It had came from down one of the intersecting corridors that lead off from their current location.
"Damned servitors." one of the robed brother cursed. "They must have dropped something. I'll deal with it."
"Very well brother." the Sergent nodded. The robed brother walked off down the corridor. the Sergent turned back to the others. "There will likely be calls for rejoice after this."
"I suspect we'll be returning home, to recruit more marines." a brother suggested.
The Sergent agreed. Despite clearly inflicting heavier casualties onto the Kestral fleet, he couldn't deny that it looked like they themselves had suffered heavy losses. "We'll find out when the Chapter master arrives at the location, for now we should-"

*BANG!* *THUD!* *CRASH*
"ARGH!!!"
*SMACK, SMACK, SMACK, SMACK, SMACK!!!*
...then silence.

The marines stared off towards the entrance of the corridor that their brother had moments ago just entered. Something had just happened.
The servitors had carried off their Bolters to the armoury. All they had on them was their combat blades.
"Something's on board..." the Sergent whispered.
"No- iz alre'dy 'ere!" came a rough voice from behind them.

They span around. Behind them was a mob of Ork Kommandoes, leading the Kommandos was an Ork Warboss covered head to toe in grease and dripping it everywhere.
"Damn." the Sergent managed to utter before he and his squad died.

Out of character: I thought you had Warp jumped away Acanthus, no? Or is it Reschak and his Ork friends following you?

On the Wrathful bridge:

- The ship's captain: "Shouldn't we escort the 706th fleet to safety, they are our allies after all and we will need their fleet in future engagements."
- Admiral Hipper: "No, the orders of Lord Suren are clear, we are to Warp jump away from the battle and send our ships to the dry docks for reparation. They are able to for themselves and, in addition, they didn't do their jobs terribly well today."
- The ship's Captain: "But, we ..."
- Admiral Hipper interrupting his officer: "The matter is closed, Captain!"
- Admiral Hipper shouting: "Helmsman, launch the Warp jump countdown immediately!"
- Helmsman: "Warp jump countdown initiated, Admiral!"

The Warp jump siren was heard : https://youtu.be/9azjzhoL670?list=PLGUX ... 0riweh6XeI

- Helmsman: "Two minutes before Warp jump."
- One minute.
- 30, 29, 28, 27, 26, 25, 24, 23, 22, 21, 20, 19, 18, 17, 16, 15, 14 ....

But suddenly, another alarm sounded: https://youtu.be/GWXLPu8Ky9k

- The sensor officer: "A large war fleet just emerged from the Warp. It looks imperial!"
- Admiral Hipper: "What are the IFF transponders saying?"
- The sensors officer: "Imperial identity confirmed, Admiral. They are Kestralites!"
- Admiral Hipper: "They don't act in an hostile way so far, but are they aware of the alliance? That is the question."
- The ship's captain: "Nothing is less sure. It seemed that this cooperation was Wolcott's secret from day 1."
- Admiral Hipper: "Order to all men to join their posts just in case, but hold fire and do not illuminate the newcomers with your targeting systems for now. They could interpret it like if we had hostile intents."
- The ship's captain: "Yes, Admiral".
- Admiral Hipper: "Communication officer?!"
- Communication officer: "Lord Admiral?"
- Admiral Hipper: "Order the fleet to be ready for combat, but to eschew illumination of the new fleet with targeting systems and hold fire until Lord Suren is informed or that they fire first."
- Communication officer: "Understood Admiral."
- Admiral Hipper: "I will inform Lord Suren personally."

The light cruiser is yours for the taking ork, along with all the weapons. I only ask that you hand over their suits of mega armour, or what they terminator armour.

Do this and there will be plenty more things to loot and fight in the future for you.

OOC: Actually, all but the battle-barge have warped, and that'll be gone soon.

Acanthus Valorum gazed out at the warp portal as the last strike cruiser, the Ironside, warped from the system. He sighed. He had hoped that Reschtahk would reach them beforehand, but, unfortunately, he had not. He turned to Celcon. "Prepare to enter the warp. Fire a last salvo as you do, to cover our retreat. We will meet our brothers at Tibur." Celcon saluted, leaving to perform his duties. Valorum was once again alone in his chambers. "Reschtahk," he mused aloud. "This is it."

Reschtakh saw the fools ships, he sent his cruisers full speed after them, if they warp jumped away, he would follow. Valorum shall fall to the might of chaos soon,

At a nearby imperial world, the following transmission was played on all channels. A signal bearing Necron markings was detected on every radio, vox caster, or any type of communication device. A similar signal was reported on all words,

++Incoming Transmission++
Hello. I'm sure you're all wondering what this message is. Well I, Phaeron Nosnibor of the Resokakh dynasty, come bearing news. I'm sure you've all heard of the Helior Guard. Well, I've got news for you.
The. Are. Destroyed.
In a firefight containing Imperial Guard, my own fleet, 3 seperate chaos space marine fleets, and an ork fleet, they were obliterated. Some of the Helios guard attempted to escape, however, some of my remaining cruisers and the fleet of The chaotic Lord Reschtakh are pursuing them. They shall be destroyed by day's end.
The firefight was brutal. The Helios guard, like all space marines, fell quickly. Their "tactics" proved no match for the combined might of chaos, necrons, and Imperial Guard. They met a short and swift death. Let this serve as a lesson to all those who oppose me and the Reclamation Dominion. You, like the Helios Guard, shall fail. Your armies shall be destroyed, and so will you. This is your only warning, join us or meet a fate smilar to that of the coward. A short, painful death.

Brother-sergeant Ulian and his squad were at rest, boltguns mag locked to their armor, aboard the third company flagship, the Obsidian Flare. They had seen little action during the battle, their only mission being the boarding of a Kestral ship, and the slaughter of its command crew, which had gone off without a hitch. The ten-man Terminator squad who had been attached to the Third had also been present, and were conversing amongst themselves down the corridor. Ulian had never been comfortable in the presence of Veterans; they always carried themselves with a poise he though almost arrogant. Nevertheless, they had certainly won the day on the cruiser, and he owed them a debt without a doubt. In the midst of these thoughts, however, he was interrupted by faint screams echoing from the hangar bay. Cursing, he unlocked his combi-flamer, and his squad and the Terminators advanced towards the bay. They were greeted with the sight of dismembered serfs, pilots, and servitors. A group of Orks crouched over them, taking their heads, while the largest Ork he'd ever seen cavorted about, covered in grease. Voxing captain Oberyn, Ulian yelled: "Orks! In the hangar bay! We need reinforcements!" "Understood. Hold them off; we'll be there shortly." Switching off the vox, Ulian, his squad, and the Terminators opened fire, praying it would be enough.

- Admiral Hipper: "Lord Suren, I have important news for you ..."
- Lord Suren, interrupting him with his chilly metalic voice from his armor: "A fleet has emerged from the Warp. I have sensed it while it was approaching. To which banner do they answer?"
- Admiral Hipper: "To the Imperium my Lord. Kestral to be more accurate."
- Lord Suren: "They are late. The reception has already ended."
- Admiral Hipper: "Jawohl, but we aren't absolutely sure they are aware of our cooperation with Wolcott."
- Lord Suren: "Yes, this is right. I will personnally send a message to the Admiral of the new comers. However, we're not here to loose more ships. We have preserved most of our own and I'm not going to risk more of them for the good commander Wolcott, those nurglites or this hysterical Phaeron. If they pick up another fight we will disengage and Warp jump away. Am I being clear enough Admiral?"
- Admiral Hipper: "Of course my Lord. Everything is clear."
- Lord Suren: "I will join you on the bridge shortly. You are dismissed, Admiral. "

The Admiral bowed his torso and head slightly, turned away and walked back to the bridge with a martial bearing.

Orks roared as bolter rounds hit them. "OI!!!" Boff yelled and dived behind a cargo crane, the only thing big enough for him to duck behind. The other Kommandos split up and ran behind whatever cover fhey could find.
Usually orks hated being behind cover, but Boff was no idiot. They had boarded a ship in warp transit. They would not recieve any reinforcements. Every Ork counted.
He leant outwards and took a short gance at the shooters. 2 Squads, a Terminator squad and a Space Marine squad. They'd managed to take out quite a few Kommandos who hadn't been paying attention.
"Advance!" One of them called out. The Tactical squadstarting to slit into two 5 man squads and began spraying suppressive fire. Boff noticed the Terminator squad began to move directly in his direction.
"Wat we gon'a do Boss? We shud smash 'em!" The NobBoy Ted said.
Boff grinned at Ted."'Old it- we can't joost 'ave at 'em like dat! We gottsa thunk carefully."

The Terminators Sergent stomped right up to the crane, He readied his Combi-Melta while his brothers readied their power weapons. A pool of some sort of greasy liquid had amassed on the floor. There other Orks visibly shooting at them, but none were doing any real damage.ignore them, cut the head off the snake The Terminator Sergent thought to himself.
They burst around the corner of the crane!
...Nothing. The Ork Warboss was gone. "What the?" he started. How had he possibly lost somthing so big?
Then he noticed the trail of grease leading up the crane. A few drops of Grease landed on his helmet. He looked up and stared, momentarily dumbstruck. He had never seen anything like it in all his years.
The Orks and their Warboss where hanging from the ceiling pipes.

"WWWWAAAAAAAAAGGGGGGGHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!"
The Orks charged all at once. A mob of the Kommandos smashing up against the Terminators and overrun them.
Brother Sergent Ulian watched as the Terminators struggled to handle the sudden mob. "Help them Brothers!" Ulian screamed He and his Squads sprant towards the Terminators.
He raised his Combi-flamer to fire.

Then something big dropped down and landed on top of him. It crushed him down to the floor. Ulian tried to get it off but it was too heavy and wouldn't budge.
It was the Ork Warboss. "Yous try'na beets Greasy Boff- Is dat 'ight?" It roared.
More Orks rained down from above and landed atop the squad. They tried bravely to fight them off but they were overwhelmed.
Ulian tried to raise his Combi-flamer at the the Warboss, a last act of defiance. The WarBoss grabbed the Combi-flamer with its Power Klaw "You 'ain't 'avin' it!" It roared as it ripped off both the weapon and the arm attached to it.

The last Terminator fell and the Kommandos let out a victory chant. They started to pull apart the Terminator armor and swing it about. "'EY YA GITZ!!!" Boff yelled. "DAT BELONGS TA DA SPIKY EARED GITZ, NOT YOOS GITZ!!!" The Kommandos stopped
immediatley.
Gretchens started to emerge from the docked Tarros Stone. "You der!" Boff called to them. "Make yah selves yoosfull 'n' get in da vents! Break anythungs ya find. Report anythungs yas find. I wanna know Everythunks da is ta know abowt dis ship!"
They cheered and ran towards whatever vents and small passages they could find.

There was shouting and the sounds of other Marines approaching from down the halls.
"Get re'dy boyz!" Boff yelled as the Kommandos picked up the fallen marines bolters. Boff held his brand new Combi-flamer towards the doorway.
"Dis gonna be a good fight!"
