Yeah the blue is stippled and done like that intentionally. Also, it was indeed inspired by the paint scheme for the Eldar Craftworld Alaitoc vehicles.

Here's the RSN Destroyer newly dubbed the RSN-801A Hyperion all finished up. Not exactly my best work but for my Firestorm stuff I try not to spend a lot of time on each model and go for good looking table top quality and simply techniques to get my Fleet fully painted on the table. Battletech and Fantasy is where my best work will be coming from.
