Blacktemplar's #thedailypaint (Corpse Cart)

Postby blacktemplar » Sun Apr 08, 2012 9:21 am

Realized I have a lot of models. Painting one a day isnt bad at all.

It started with one zombie...

Painted this guy at around 1am, while watching Transformers: Dark of the Moon (worst title ever).

Welcome! And don't worry you don't have to paint one a day... or even paint every day... :: blushes hard::

Yay zombies! Perfect for zombie appreciation day! And like Soria said, it's not really about a model a day, more like progress a day, but if you can keep up the model a day thing? More power to ya!

Yesterday's progress.

The primer is really pissing me off. It's the same one I use on everything else, bit the paint keeps rubbing off! But its probably because I'm constantly holding the model and not a base like normal.

Yea, holding the model will do that. All I can really suggest to prevent it is either:
1) Create something you *can* hold. I like mounting the model on two sturdy rods, and putting them into a jeweller's clamp.
2) Don't worry about the rub-off right away, because even if you touch it up you're likely to rub it off again. Wait until the model is fully assembled and based, then go back and correct the ruboff.

This is what i accomplish in 2 hours. I am not a speed painter. I still need to add the layers, shades and highlights.
