Re: Knibbler's #thedailypaint
okay, previous updates..
April 10th:
Fleshy flesh on my High Elf..

April 11th:
Base coated the armor plates of my Talos.. 2:1 Gore Red:Chaos Black

I wanted to start painting the Talos flesh today but unsure how I would go about doing it.
With the Talos, I want a dead (not nurgle) skin tone, but my lack of washes places my thought process in between a rock and a hard place...
Mind lending a hand?

Re: Knibbler's #thedailypaint
give me that innocent smoothie and il tell ya lol. if you want a easy way i used to use rotting flesh with green washes then build up layers of a lighter colour until you like the desired effect buddy, well thats if you want to have a pale greeny look for your model lol

Turning japanese i think im turning japanese i really think so

Hmmm recently I watched a 3 up video where the painter added a light green to the flesh colour paint... made a greeny gray looking sickly colour.

Re: Knibbler's #thedailypaint
If you have access to Reaper paints, I'd recommend the Ghoul Flesh triad - "Ghoul Skin", "Moldy Skin" and "Bloodless Skin".

If not, I'd take your normal flesh tone such as Elf Flesh, and mix in a little bit of green, maybe some white as well. It'll take a little experimenting to get the mix right.

Re: Knibbler's #thedailypaint
Thanks for all the tips guys.
@Mike - unfortunately I've not got a close supplier of reaper paints.
I only have a GW locally with a hobby shop about an hour away selling Vallejo model colors.
Wouldn't happen to know the alternative colours for Vallejo?
I'd also like to try a ghostly purple skin tone if anyone know the triad for that?

Update on my Talos.
Started painting the skin today, using different ratios (can't remember the exact ratios) of Gw's Elf Flesh and Vallejo Model Color medium olive.

Re: Knibbler's #thedailypaint
Looking good! Maybe a really watered down sepia wash on it (perhaps with a touch of green too?) just to add some depth? Not that it needs much... just a suggestion.
