While watching one of the Dark Potential fundraiser videos (Fundraiser Day 8 video) This concept piece was shown by our one-and-only Matthew of MWG who referred to it as the "defense scrappling".

I found this piece in particular to be very neat looking and simply fantastic. So fantastic that I decided to go ahead and make it into a 3d model for the sake of I-love-working-with-really-cool-concept-pieces. Am also looking forward to Dark Potential because I can't take the pricing of 40k.

on a side note, there isn't really a name for it yet.... it's referred to as either defense- or escort-scrapling. cheers

It's a strange obsession of mine to take concept art I really enjoy and give it that third dimension. I seldom get a spark of good design in my head so modeling off of concept art like this is a real treat.

It also makes a good portfolio piece.
