Okay, I know everyone is in mechanic mode right now, but I am wondering this for fluff purposes.
If potential energy can be drained from the environment, say the life of plants around a person, could that person use that energy to heal or regenerate wounds? I'm thinking that it would be great for maybe a solo or general. Also it might play a major part in my next story I'm working on.
Just a yes or no would be fine, but explaining how it would work (if yes) could help.
Thanks.

This might help. Matt please correct me if I am wrong but, there are five potential energies: Gravitational, Elastic, Chemical, Electric, and Nuclear.

@griffinthemad
well, in one of matt's walk and talks (the one called "ways to use DP energy") he said that there are only FOUR potential energys: gravitational, weak nuclear (wich keeps molecules together), strong nuclear (wich keeps atoms together) and indeed elastic potential energy.
so you almost got it right, but there are no such things as chamical and/or electric potential energy (as far as i'm concerned at least)
"i buy me new deffkopta!!"
"waaaagh!"
"i did research, to find out how to minimize the randomness of the shock-attack gun."
"huh?"
"waaaagh!"
"WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAGGH!!"

Ah. I was taking into account the real world potential energies...now that you say it I remember watching that walk and talk
