GBXXVII: Feddog's Tri-peice Reactors

Going with some factory/reactor/generator terrain, I used alot of plasticard, bottle caps, yogurt containers and some noodles to pop out these bad boys.

They don't look good when they aren't painted, but once i get them coated in a dull black, I can start painting :)

looking good a bit of advice tho, if you don't have flash on your camera or it turns too bright take the pieces outside and take the pictures that way it isn't all dark.

I had to take it with my phone :P My cameras seem to always disappear on me.
Sorry about the darkness.

Just got finished painting them all up.
Base coat of dull black spray paint.
Main Area:
Coat of blue (Kinda like ultramarine blue, BUT NOT!)
Drybrush oblu-ish gray
Drybush gray
very light drybrush boltgun metal

Pipes/Metal parts:
Coat of brown
Drybrush boltgun metal.

I think they all turned out pretty well :)

These all go well with the rest of my Reactor pieces (around 9 now).
Hope you enjoy!

Those look awesome Feddog the only thing I would say put together a mock-up base that they can go onto that way it can be one modular piece for the Group Build. Other than that they look amazing.

that's pretty spiffy man. i'm going to have to make some of those. it's probably a little late for this, but fashioning them in such a way that they could connect end to end horizontally to make one long wall-like piece or set on the table as three upright pieces would be cool.

EDIT: maybe you could fashion some support bases that could plug into the side pipes that are coming out of all of them and they could stand on their side on those.

The noodles you used work really well. I hadn't thought of using them like that.

Wow, noodles for pipes, who'da thunk it? Looks like I'll be heading to the pasta department of my local grocery store soon.

Hey that brings to mind a great future build idea, terrain made with/from food. Real food itself, not the containers. What do ya'll think? If it doesn't come out right you can cook it up or just feed it to the dog!
