GBXXVII: xand's Triple Compound

Post by xand » Wed Jul 06, 2011 1:01 pm

Well, I can't think of a better title right now, so I'm going with it being a three-piece compound. The first piece will be a communications building/power generator. The second will be a bunker. The third will be a pumping station. All three will have tunnels that can "connect" to others to create larger structures, or can be left open to allow them to be viewed as an extended alcove with a door leading out. All three can be placed together to create a larger structure. I'm going to give them the look of having been attacked so it's got a bit more character, also I've already got an old busted vacuum tube that I found on a walk and have been wanting to use for something.

This is another $0 budget, so I'm using stuff from around the house, and/or found on walks and such.

I started on the pumping station, this is what I've got so far:

The main piece is from an old medicine bottle, and the side pieces are from another water bottle and some piece of... *shrugs* something I found on a walk.

Great start bro. Really random mix of materials. What is the white thing?

I don't know, I found it on a walk, but I don't know what it's from, but I saw it and thought: "OOooh, that looks like something useful!"

No updates right now, and I've been so busy this past couple of weeks that I'm not sure I'll be able to finish this project this month. I'm not dropping out just yet, but I might end up doing so if I don't get anything done this week.

Hey guys, I made a go at trying to build the main bunker out of styrofoam sheet, but it completely broke apart and I really don't think I'm going to have the time to get this project done this month. So, I think I'm pretty much out of this one, sorry everybody.

If you paint the first part, you will atlast have that, because it looks great...
but it is kind of dissapointing that you couldn't finish I really like your work!

Yeah, I'll finish that part at least when I get time, it's just been real busy lately with my new kid and looking for work and all. I'll try again next month and see how that goes.

Also, does anyone know when the badges for XXV and XXVI will be up?
