I started my own challenge earlier this year.
The "easy" part was loosing the weight, the difficult part is keeping it and not falling back to old habits.
It is very easy to say "Ah, I will cheat just this weekend and fix it later on" but if that later on is not coming you will keep stacking up and the scale will start climbing again.
