Magnets for the Magnet God
I got bored again and thought I'd post what I'm doing. I'm almost always tinkering with something so this is what I'm up to at the moment.
Chapter Master Igor Durus, Master of The Iron Council, Chief Warden of the Relic Keepers and Domitor of the Inperfect.
He's one of the few surviving members from Manus' 1st Company and is now the leader of my Iron Hands forces. He is also my only IH model wearing terminator armour.
These aren't conversions but I thought I'd show them anyway as none of my gaming group were aware of them. I'll be using them as Servitors as I can't stand the GW models. They're actually FW Mechanicum Servo-automata.
I definitely enjoy the building/customising part more than the painting side, so if anyone wants help with building, magnetising etc just ask.
Other recent projects. Deredeos - required a fair amount of magnetry.
IH veteran - more for ease of painting, if I ever get round to it.
Cpt Marculus Batuo - I wanted maximum options for this guy as he deploys often.
Buggies - I'm not a fan of the speeder models so this was my alterations.
Leviathan - this guy gets a mention simply because it required ~30 magnets to achieve what I wanted.

Re: Magnets for the Magnet God
Thank you. I have seen them. The rules for them have actually been published for some time now in the updated The Horus Heresy Legion Astartes: Age of Darkness Army List book (digital copy at least). The rules for the unreleased Atomantic Pavaise are also in there too. I'm not sure if many people realise that - pardon me if you knew.General-Kroll wrote:Some lovely models and conversions there. I always go weak at the knees when I see Deredeos. Have you seen the new lascannon variants?

Ha! thanks.
Getting there.
Bit of a pain but worth the extra effort. When this model is finished it will be fieldable as a Rhino, Razorback or Predator.

I got bored again...
The heavy bolter is the worst option for the Contemptor but I needed one anyway

Re: Magnets for the Magnet God
The Iron Wing heavy contingent is finally assembled.
Just finished this guy. He's the Platoon Sergeant (Veteran Sergeant) for one of the platoons in my company. He needs a little green stuff here and there.

Re: Magnets for the Magnet God
Thanks pal.
I thought I was getting near the bottom of my "to build" pile but my two Arachnus heavy lascannon batteries arrived today
More work: Arachnus systems online.
I used 5mm for the main weapon mount (4mm would be sufficient), 3mm for the ammo/power cells and 2mm on each end of the power cables.
Slightly trimmed down lascannon operators. I gave them regular backpacks and removed the link cables.
A slightly modded heavy bolter duo. Regular backpacks and the Sternguard version weapon (box mag rather than feed chute).

Re: Magnets for the Magnet God
I should probably mention before you buy them that; as far as I'm aware, the rules for the Arachnus lascannons are only found in the Legion Astartes AoD Army List book and not on the Forge World general PDF download (experimental rules). So that implies that only Legion Deredeos may take the upgrade (same applies to the atomantic pavaise). For scenarios like this I houserule the use of the most recently released datasheet, which in this case is the updated version in the digital HH book but you'll need to check with your opponent first.General-Kroll wrote:Those lascannon deredeos.....I must have some!
